Hi VJ memebers.

Got a couple of questions I hope someone can assist me with. We got the NOA2 approval letter so I just sent the required documents to my fiancee , the copy of the I129 ,G325, I134, pay stubs, tax returns, letter from employment, updated letter of intent to marry, proof of relations, so now with all these documents will she take them to the interview with her or will they be mail to the US Embassy in Manila before hand?

Will my presence be needed at the interview?

It's going to be a great strain for me to take off from work and also the expense involved.

I assume we now need to pay the $350 interview fee and also schedule the interview date by calling the number given, then schedule the medical at St. Luke's and pay $212 for that..my GOSS they charge a arm n a leg with all these fee's!!

When should I arrange for her airplane ticket to the states, wait until she passes the interview n have her visa n hand or try to get a airline ticket for her now?

Thanks and God Bless!!

She will take them to the interview. Most of the documents will be taken by a pre-screener during the interview process.

It appears the visa fee is now $330 as of July 13th: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html

As previously suggested I would wait until the visa is in hand before purchasing an airline ticket.

yeah wait until she has visa in hand or at least until you know she passed the interview with the pink slip....but it is better to wait until she has the visa since she will need to do the CFO seminar and get registered with them....that's another 650 Php!

No you dont have to be there for the interview, but you can if you can make it and afford it. You may or may not be let in at the interview, but you will be able to go in the embassy with your fiancee. I would call the embassy appointment line about 2 weeks after your NOA2 (about a week after you get the hardcopy) for an interview appointment. If they ask you if your fiancee received a letter from the embassy...always say yes!:whistle:

Good luck, the journey is almost over..

There no need to pay all the fee's right now. She will pay for St. Lukes the day of the exam(in peso's) and for the interview she will need to to go to a sponsored BDO bank to pay the interview fee's(can do that a few days before).

The big thing is all her paper work..Her doc's need to be current and accurate.

And you should be ready to photo copy you most current pay stubs(prior to interview) and send to her via email so she can add to you I134.

Your are way ahead of the game here ....Good Luck
