I'm back and I miss reading post here in vj, I had friends from here that I still keep in touch with in facebook and messenger.

I'm just so happy the hubby got out in the army and got a computer engineering job in San Antonio..

And I am going back to school to get bachelor science of nursing:-) wish me luck

Some great info on allnurses.com And depending where u live, the hiring situation for new RN's isnt very good, but i'm sure things will change by the time you have finished school. best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

If the government is going to force me to exercise my "right" to health care, then they better start requiring people to exercise their Right to Bear Arms. - "Where's my public option rifle?"

I realized that didn't make sense so I edited. But, you guys got me!

Sometimes when folks separate from the army they still have a commitment before they're "all the way out" and I was trying to ask what he still had to do.

thank you guys..

anyway, he got out 2 months ago, but the security documentation process we did for his new job took us over a month to complete because I am a foreign national.

It is so quick for him to find a job , thanks for the army experience! Military Intelligence..
