If you seriously believe Canada is anything like or no better than your state of Jersey, you are the one smoking something.

New Jersey is a nicer place to live than the part of Canada I used visit (and no, I won't tell you which part that is).

But that isn't the point you diversionary #######.

The point was whether Australia has more desert than America does ghetto. Clearly the answer is yes.

Unlike the US, which is using an outdated planning model, most people in modern countries live around few key cities. It's also too cold to live up north. Same reason no one lives in the desert in Australia.

It's funny though, I was watching the into of Jersey Shore and hard to laugh, that these poor bastards actually think they are cool and rich.

I guess that is the premise of the ghetto / Jersey culture you love so much. As long as you think you are something, then you are something. Mate, afford the deposit on a studio in Sydney, then come tell me how cool you are.

I just looked up rental prices for Sydney and they are super cheap! I'll be honest here. I kinda would like to move to Australia for a while, but the wife is against it.

(I forgot, incomes are slightly lower in Australia no? So maybe they aren't as cheap as I think I they are)

Rents are cheaper for different reasons. They still have negative gearing, which was scrapped here.

Trying buying a decent place in Sydney, you are looking well over $800K.

No one is talking about a mosque on GZ, but the owners of that plot can decide what to put there. I have no say in that.

I know its not at ground zero, never said it was. I really have no problem with it being built where they plan to. Im just saying that it wouldnt hurt these people building the Mosque to move it somewhere else due to the sensitive nature of this area.

Let's not pretend all the opposition to this mosque is coming from 9/11 families. Most of it is coming from bigots. How many of the mosque-opponents on VJ either lost a loved one on 9/11 or are simply worried about the traffic?

Whos pretending, not me. I have seen some of the yahoos your talking about but this isnt everyone.

Would it really kill them to move the Mosque somewhere else. I gave Cindy Sheehan some slack and I will give these people some slack.
