We're a British colony, so the language is hardly bastardized. Just another country that was conquered by Europeans. Excluding slang, the accent might be different but the language is certainly not. American English on the other hand...

Just a colony, eh? Just another country conquered by the Europeans. And that's different for the Americas how? Ever wondered why Spanish, Portugese and English are spoken in the Western Hemisphere?

And French. I know we like to pretend the Quebecois don't exist but still.

Difference is that it still has ties to the UK. Hence it not being a republic.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

No I mean people who can buy and sell all of your property using their debit card.

Comprehension was not part of your English lessons was it? Americans spell and pronounce words differently to the Brits. No?

Nah, that's next week. Week 1 was about separating ####### from regular folk.

If Canada's so great, why do most of them live within a few miles of the US border?

Unlike the US, which is using an outdated planning model, most people in modern countries live around few key cities. It's also too cold to live up north. Same reason no one lives in the desert in Australia.

Good grief, Paul, look what you did. You started a thread that just made it easier for folks to comment on why you're a bigot and you still don't get it. You even have peaceful Canadians negatively chiming in about you. If your bigotry isn't confirmed by now, I don't know what will do it.

BTW, if you support bigotry, I.e. 9/11 family members who identify mosques with violence and want it moved, you are enabling and amplifying their bigotry and insensitivity to their neighbors who also suffered on 9/11, as did all Americans. Their pain doesn't excuse their prejudice, nor does it abrogate our freedom of religion. You have the right to your own opinions, but not a right to your own facts. I hope the responses here make you do some serious thinking, bro.

Yeah most of Canada and most of Australia is unfit for large-scale human habitation.

You can't say that about America.

It really must suck being in a place not up to your standards... Do you really act like this in real life, or the saying "misery loves company" is true??

Fact is two buildings were brought down and the pentagon was attacked in the name of Islam. Just because you are a respectful moderate does not mean the rest of Islam outside the US shares your views. The fact that the US is still fighting in other countries is a testament to people wanting to destroy the US, in the name of Islam.

If you want to preach about tolerance, start by doing so with your own people. It's no sheer coincidence that most turmoil in the world, in the last few decades to the present, has Islam involved in some way.
