Hello

This is G (beneficiary), as some of you know our interview was scheduled for August 31st and we were worried a bit about my fiance sponsoring me since she was making $18.800 per year and it was just a few hundred above the poverty guideline limit for two, Yet we went ahead and file and well she has 15,000 dollars in savings so we thought that was a plus, too.. right now we are 11 days away from our interview and my fiance was given today a raise at work.. now she is making 22800 dollars a year!.... now this raise will be reflected in her next paystub that will be sent to her before the interview.. now my question is.. should she ask her boss a letter stating that she was given a raise to back up that info or do you think that she will be fine just taking that last paystub, even tho the others will show a different anual income?...

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP

Congratulations, nowadays a raise that large in percentage is very good.

Since she will only have the one paystub, a letter on official company letterhead would be helpful. But if it is difficult or an inconvenience to the boss, then go with the one paystub and a short letter of your own explaining the raise.

Good luck.

If she didn't qualify to support you they would have rejected the affidavit in the first place.

Well she didn't submit any info of her income when she sent our package to the USCIS!... we are applying for a K1 visa so the affidavit of support will be evaluated in the interview.

Amorrrrr, tranquiloooooooooo!

I asked the CFO to write me a letter yesterday! She began typing it before I even left and said it'd be ready by tomorrow.

I got this, okay?

A raise in income is a good thing. If you really want to show it at the interview, it would not hurt to bring a pay stub and/or a letter from the employer showing the raise. It surely will not hurt to try this. Best of luck at the interview!
