Proof of Ongoing Relationship

Hello, All!!

I'm hoping to send my K-1 package on saturday, and I started wondering about the proof I have for our ongoing relationship. I have a certificate from the school in which I studied, receipts, boarding passes, copies of my passport, various ticket stubs, a copy of my bank statement, and photos. My question is this:

Did any of you label these things to explain what they were?? The photos in particular? Maybe this seems self-explanatory, but many of the ticket stubs are in French and/or Arabic...Does the proof need explanation??

Let me know what you all did for this portion!!

Thanks!

For this part of the packet I put all of the proof into one Word document and headed each page in a way that stated what the items were. So for example on one page I headed it "Petitioner's Passport Stamps and Boarding Pass" and then placed the JPEGS of the scanned items onto the page. For the pictures I kept the same formula and included captions below each one.

Ditto with dates and description on both the Word doc and typed onto a label affixed to the back of each envelope which was in a baggie which was affixed to the Word doc.

So do you all think it would be inappropriate to hand-write descriptions?

I photo copied a page filled with bus/train/museum tickets and so there is no white space left on the page. I was thinking about adding an index to the following page to describe what each thing was...

I don't know how good bus/train/museum tickets will be to prove anything unless your name is on them. They could be anybody's (not saying they are but they are not solid proof). Do you have boarding passes with your names on them? Passport stamps? Hotel receipts?

Also I had actual photos printed then printed a word document with all the captions of the names of people in the pic, date and location. Then I cut out the captions and taped them on the backs. Simple and easy to read. Then I put all the pics in a plastic baggie.

Is it a problem if there are zero pictures? I've seen my fiancé 4 times in the last year alone and we have no pictures together. We both hate having our pictures taken so getting pics together is always the last thing on our minds. :( We have everything else, just no pictures.

Yes you're definitely going to need pictures. Especially for the interview stage.

I do not necessarily agree. Pictures are great, but the UK rarely asks to see any relationship evidence at the interview and even then emails or boarding passes or phone bills could suffice.

Thanks y'all. I am planning on going over there when his interview gets scheduled, so maybe we can take a few (in different settings and clothes ;) ) while I'm there just in case. I think I may have *one* that was snapped on my phone when we were in Italy a couple of years ago, but that's it.
