Hi guys!

Sorry for i was off on this thread .... my interview was cancelled due to my x-ray result...SLMEC saw abnormality on my x-ray. I was advised to undergo 3 days sputum test...which i did and it was NEGATIVE (thanks God) ... It was negative but then i need to wait for culture test result (its part of their SOP) first of december i need to call st. lukes to follow-up the result. (Hoping and praying for negative result too) after that i will have my vaccination and interview date...so i would say DECEMBER will be my interview month :innocent: .... Good luck and God bless us all!!

by the way TomD im one of march filers

I know and I am Sorry for missing your March Status... :P Please forgive (F) But I am sorrier, if that's a word, that you had this set back with your Chest X-Ray. :o That SUCKS and has to be disappointing. :dead: My wife will be taking her physical next week and I hope she doesn't have any such problem. She has had them before and told me that no one has ever said anything to her negative about them. So hopefully she will show clear.

Good Luck for getting a Dec Interview. I hope your not set back any further. :energy:

Congratulations. I hope things get better for you. WOW, thanks for the run down but I think you're seeing this very one sided. Please allow us to screen people who are continually trying to enter the US. Some even want to do us HARM... Go Figure.

What you are forgetting is that many, many, many people fraudulently try to get into the US every day. The do this in more ways than you can imagine. Thats why we have 10 million illegals and god know how many others that received VISAs that shouldn't have. Not saying you're one.

First off your case in somewhat unusual and you seem to recognize that fact. In my view unusual demands further scrutiny!! What would make you so special to not receive scrutiny? I dont care if your wife and you are in love or not. Thats not measurable or the question here is it? I am glad she was trying to trick you. I say trick away!!! I am sure in the past others with unusual stories were caught as a result of a observant Officer asking questions differently or even deeper in detail. That is if I am not mistaken their job. This is not a rubber stamp process here or anywhere else. Know one has a right to enter and live in any country just because of a marriage, business, curiosity or what ever else people come here for. Certain conditions need to be met.

You may not give a damn but I certainly do. Its not about your marriage, your desire or your needs. Its about being sovereign country and ensuring all people are meeting the VISA requirements established prior to their entry.

I hope you can see that.

:wow: My husband came on here to share his experience, which was very intense, to all others who are undergoing this same process. Who are you to get on your high horse and come on here to be negative. My husband didn't say he shouldn't be questioned. It was the way in which it was done. Maybe you haven't been in the same situation where you were the one undergoing such an intense interview. Apparently not or you would be more understanding of his reaction to the tense experience. You really think we aren't aware of how many security measures we have to go thru just for my husband to be here with his family. HELLO!!! We have been going thru this process for almost a year. This forum is for supporting eachother in our journey..not reading our experience and replying negatively to it. We have gone thru a very stressful time like everyone else on here trying to be with the one they love. Otherwise we wouldnt have gone thru such a process. SO because my husband lets off steam after having undergone a VERY STRESSFUL INTERVIEW, determining his future with his wife and kids, waiting on a yes or no answer to approval, you should come on here and judge him as if he doesnt agree with security policies or understand that it is a serious process? Get a life dude...hmmm...hope the interview that your wifey has goes sooooooooooo great......and she isnt as stressed as my husband was. You shouldn't have replied til after your interview was completed. Good luck to ya negative nancy..

Hummm, :reading:

It was your husbands story that initiated this. I responded as I did because I though it was rather one sided. From what I read your husband sounded like someone who didn’t think he should be questioned as he was and he didn't like it one bit. I didn’t see it that way and I stated as much. If his attitude during the interview reflected what I saw in his written statement I can see why it went as it did. With regards to being on a High Horse. Although I grew up in Nevada I dont see it that way. I was in my view responding to negative in kind.

From your response I see you didn’t care for my comments or thoughts. I am fine with that but I didn't make them for your acceptance. I am totally unaware of what security measure you had to go through but we have not gone through much at all that I can see. Just some minor police reports which were easy enough to obtain. I dont know of any true background checks.

I find it funny that you are looking for some level of understanding or sympathy for your case yet you can’t resist using endearing terms like WIFEY and Negative Nancy… Well don’t worry this Negative Nancy’s wife will do just fine in her interview. I am sure she will be a little nervous but will not display any attitude toward the interviewer.

My time here has been a little frustrating for sure but not stressful. My wifey has never so much as posted one iota of though on the VJ forum so her only stress comes from her work as she has no children or Ex's and is busy doing other things more important to her.

Again Congratulation. Now that you have your VISA go forth and enjoy your marriage. Negative Nancy out…

Really now I am nervous. Did you bring any old film with you? Does Vitamines and Milk help Lungs? She has a cousin who is an X-Ray tech at UP I will have her speak to him. I was hoping she would be going this monday but she has some training she wanted to attend on Tuesday and Wen. of this week so that means she again is pushing things off till the last moment. Drives me crazy!!!

Well friend we all have to play the hand we are dealt. Maybe just look at other carabean countries or look at any S. American interviews. They I would bet ask very similar questions from what I have read. I did see this from Guyana, I am sure you did also.

"The interview itself was okay, not too many questions asked. I had approx 15-20lbs of paper work and 6 photo albums. I would like to remind fellow VJers to check the consulate's web site and follow their guides. I did that a million times and caught a form that was missing the day before. So I was able to correct. Also photo copy everything and VERY IMPORTANT! Get new B/certificates. I got for myself, fiancee and kids the Monday before an interview on Wednesday. They are crazy about that. NEW BIRTH CERTIFICATES. the hand"

Dont know what the issue is regarding B Certificates but I hope you look at the website. Might be some information there for you regarding what documentation they expect.

THank for recognizing I am no Nancy... :rofl:B-)(F)

Wow TomD, you are THE MAN on this forum arent you... With all your friends on here... lol, i hope you're as popular in real life as well... Let me just say that I didnt ask nor care for your opinion either, i shared my experience cause this is an online community an afterall and we all go thru the same process, and no, i did not have an attitude towards the consultant, she had one towards ME, i boiled on the inside because she continuously gave me these looks as if i were lying, rolling her eyes at me and so on (but i understand you think thats normal) I tried to keep my cool, but i guess you didnt read that... the reason i kept my cool TomD, is because if i didnt, she probably would have found something to denie me, or make it harder/delay me being with my wife, now that i CANT live with! Man, how dare i tell you all about how my interview went. the nerve i have huh... maybe you should have read my story better, before you gave YOUR one-sighed comment...

Having that said and spent my last words on you, i hope you and your wife's bureaucratic BS (as you state it) / visa-process goes as easy as you think it will, all the best to you and your "friends" and im done sharing on here.

Wow I think this was made a big deal over nothing! Both of you seemed to be having a bad day (TomD and Cedric) and just went off on each other.

Sad :( we don't want no fighting here, just sharing and giving each other SUPPORT.
