Hi guys!

Sorry for i was off on this thread .... my interview was cancelled due to my x-ray result...SLMEC saw abnormality on my x-ray. I was advised to undergo 3 days sputum test...which i did and it was NEGATIVE (thanks God) ... It was negative but then i need to wait for culture test result (its part of their SOP) first of december i need to call st. lukes to follow-up the result. (Hoping and praying for negative result too) after that i will have my vaccination and interview date...so i would say DECEMBER will be my interview month :innocent: .... Good luck and God bless us all!!

by the way TomD im one of march filers

I'm getting nervous for next week!

Nica dont forget they all work out of the same book. I would look at neighboring countries in South America to see what they experience. I would guess there are very similar concerns from those countries and yours.

You will do fine. I am sure you have run it through your head 100s of times already and the questions are basically the same except for case specific concerns. Like in my case I am not working so I am sure something will be said about that. I have put 2 pages of things together for my wife to learn so that she can respond to them should they be ask.

You're right Tom. My husband is coming October 21st, having him with me is a HUGE support. He's getting nervous too, but I have faith we're going to be alright.

Good luck to you, and I'll let you guys know how it went.

OMG, intense indeed... listen, my wife was unhappily married when we met and we met online btw, like many many people have in the 21st century, i flew to the US to meet her in person after two months of talking online, so what?! its our life and if it clicks it clicks rite?! so my wife in december 2009 filed for divorce and since the divorce took a while we kinda got married rather quickly after she divorced... Meaning that i had proposed to my wife while she was still in the middle of her divorce. This woman at the embassy thought it was weird that i did that, and also, i didnt remember if she was still married at that time or not cause frankly i didnt give a damn about the divorce, yeah i wanted it to be over with, but the only thing really on my mind was and is being together with MY wife! So i told the woman that my wife's divorce isnt my speciality, bc i simply dont give a damn about it. its over with. She had kind of an attitude towards me, i dont know why, but everytime i answered a question she rolled her eyes as if i was lying or something, it made me really nervous and i got kinda pissed, cause come on, this is our life we're talking about here, im not gonna let some woman judge wether i love my wife or not, GD! so she went on with the interview, trying to trick me into answering different things on the same questions, telling me that sure, my wife looks pretty but what is the base of our relationship, why was i interested in even talking to her when we met online, i said well, just like you meet people in real life, you talk, get to know eachother and fall in love, its not that difficult now is it... MY GOD! like i said, i got rather pissed off. she also asked about my wife's girls, she has two beautiful girls btw that i adore and im kinda sure they like me too since they keep asking when i come live with them  . She also asked for pictures proving our relationship, about her parents, her sister, she even asked whose dog it was in the pictures, if my wife has a dog, what kinda dog, whats the dogs name, where did my wife go to school, where was she born, she asked me ten times where we got married and when and said something like, so this is (......didnt understand) hotel, and pointing at a picture, i was like  noo, that the cityhall where we got married!! #######!!??? She was just trying for me to screw up my "story". sucks for her its not a STORY but REAL LIFE!

So then she told me to go sit down again cause she had additional paperwork to do, and i was like omfg, you have gotta be kidding me, i was trying to keep my cool, trying to look as if it doesnt bother me, then finally i could go back and she made me sign the paper where it states that i know i only enter on conditional status (which i knew already anyway) and then gave me a card to come back next week to pick up my visa. no congratulations, no smile... gee thx!!

Oh one more thing, since i have my own business i asked her if i could go visit my wife now and then come back to finish selling my business, cause i wanna see my wife, and she said well, i dont know, you're just gonna have to ask that there.. WHAT!? i'll just fly to the US to find out thats not possible... OK... :o luckily there was this other man, that said it prob wont be a problem to just tell the customs officer and they'd put a note in my file.

I actually think she was learning this function, cause the other man that told me that last thing looked very professional and was very nice and said, it wont be a problem sir, im sure you wanna go see your wife as soon as possible. Good luck.

this is our life we're talking about here, im not gonna let some woman judge wether i love my wife or not, GD!

so she went on with the interview, trying to trick me into answering different things on the same questions,

she asked me ten times where we got married and when and said something like, so this is (......didnt understand) hotel, and pointing at a picture, i was like  noo, that the cityhall where we got married!! #######!!??? She was just trying for me to screw up my "story".

Congratulations. I hope things get better for you. WOW, thanks for the run down but I think you're seeing this very one sided. Please allow us to screen people who are continually trying to enter the US. Some even want to do us HARM... Go Figure.

What you are forgetting is that many, many, many people fraudulently try to get into the US every day. The do this in more ways than you can imagine. Thats why we have 10 million illegals and god know how many others that received VISAs that shouldn't have. Not saying you're one.

First off your case in somewhat unusual and you seem to recognize that fact. In my view unusual demands further scrutiny!! What would make you so special to not receive scrutiny? I dont care if your wife and you are in love or not. Thats not measurable or the question here is it? I am glad she was trying to trick you. I say trick away!!! I am sure in the past others with unusual stories were caught as a result of a observant Officer asking questions differently or even deeper in detail. That is if I am not mistaken their job. This is not a rubber stamp process here or anywhere else. Know one has a right to enter and live in any country just because of a marriage, business, curiosity or what ever else people come here for. Certain conditions need to be met.

You may not give a damn but I certainly do. Its not about your marriage, your desire or your needs. Its about being sovereign country and ensuring all people are meeting the VISA requirements established prior to their entry.

I hope you can see that.
