Hey guys and girls.

I FINALLY got my interview letter through today, however, I have 1 concern here.

Its states that

" If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason and NO

charges were filed, bring an original official statement by the arresting agency or applicable court order confirming that no charges were field."

Now, I was arrested back in 2003 because someone i kicked out of my house for not paying his rent thought he would try and get me done. He told the police that I called up and ordered the phone and internet service without his consent and knowledge. To try and cut a long story short, the officer and myself spoke over the phone a few times as i was out of the country, i said as soon as i come back i will come to the station, show you the evidence I have and we can discuss it. When i went to the station they officer said i was under arrest purely because its better for both parties rights... (typical UK law). I showed the officer all my evidence like if he didnt know about it, why did he use my PC to open a ebay account and purchase stuff from the website.

Officer agreed with me and said nothing will happen.

When I filed for my I-192F, i ticked the box yes i have been arrested, when I did my police certificate their was NO RECORD of me on ANY police database. However, I will not be able to take a letter saying that no charges were filed etc,

What can I do?

hmmm... i think the police cert says there is no current live trace on you. not necessarily that there is no record. Can you not contact the police station and ask them to send you a letter stating no further action was taken? Failing that you will have your chance to explain the situation. It sounds to me you had no conviction or anything so In doubt you have much to worry about. I had to tick yes on one of those sections also and I simply explained my situation. They were fine. Honestly I don't think you have an issue but try get some confirmation from the police office if possible.. i'm sure they will help!
