Confused about after packet three for K1

Sent packet 3 to the consulate for the I-129 visa back in July 4th and nearly six weeks later, still no word about the interview date or medical. Are they suppose to set a date or do we have to contact them to make arrangements? Our I-129 will be expiring in a month and we are unsure what to do...HELP!

You need to call a Doctor from the approved list and make the appointment yourself. You just need your case number to make the appointment, which you have.

I think it took them a full 2 months to get our interview date in the mail from when we sent back packet 3.

Call the National Visa Center: 202-663-1225 press (1) then (0) - given them your LON number. Ask them to verify whether the London Embassy has received your packet 3. If they haven't received it, then I would suggest that you resend it via certified mail, so they will have to sign for it. Call the NVC at least once a week to keep updated on the status of your case until you get an interview date. That is an extremely long time to not have heard anything. We sent ours in weeks later and have an interview date set. It also could be that they have set the interview, but you haven't received Packet 4 with the interview letter. You can schedule the medical as long as you have the LON number - it is good for up to one year.
