We received an email from the Jamaican embassy on August 11, 2010 and it stated the following

REMEMBER:

The medical report and police certificate expire after 1 year.

The visa fee payment is good for 1 year after the initial interview.

Prior to our appointment on August 10, 2010 the Jamaica embassy called my Fiance and informed him that his police certificate had to be dated after June 14, 2010. You should be good with your current police certificate and it is good for one year (unless they have another incident in Jamaica, then of course there would be exceptions).
