I found at least 5 of us with Packet 3 returned, but have been waiting up to 20 days on the interview date to be scheduled.

I guess the scheduler is on vacation. I wasn't too upset knowing that it could be a long time between NOA2 and Packet3, but I guess we should expect it to get stuck at every step.

Our Timeline

March 18, 2010 - I-129F Mailed

March 24, 2010 - Check cashed

March 27, 2010 - Got NOA1 in mail Dated 3/22/2010

June 17, 2010 - NOA2

July 16, 2010 - Arrives at GUZ

July 26, 2010 - Packet 3 Arrives

July 28, 2010 Packet Mailed

Aug 5, 2010 DOS says Packet 3 received

August 23, 2010 Interview Scheduled Sept 27

August 28, 2010 Received Packet 4

September 27, 2010 Interview/Approved

November 5, 2010 Married

Did you call DOS to confirm receipt of your P3? Don't wait for the P4 letter to arrive, call DOS every couple days until they confirm the P3 has been received, then keep calling until they give you the interview date. I say this because our interview letter arrived less than two weeks before the interview date and had we not called DOS daily it would have made preparations for travel to GUZ very "difficult." Good luck!

Yup, I concur - call DOS Hotline, get a Human, inquire for casefile status, often.

Please review http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/

Dodi's listed the #'s, I've listed 'what you can get'.

Good Luck !

I called the DoS to see if my fiancee's P3 packet was received and was told it was received but that no interview date was setup. She said we were in a 'pending status' waiting for an interview date. I asked her how long a wait or what dates they were up to and was told that August and September interview dates were already filled and MAYBE we could get an October or November date! Huh? 2 months waiting for an interview date? I don't fully trust this agent that i spoke to, so I will call again next week too and see what they say.

Congrats, as Darnell said and have your wife study the dates of your meetings and wedding and your family member names. They may not ask this at the interview but better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!

Well, just spoke to DoS office this morning at 835am. Was told that my fiancee's interview was scheduled for September 27th, 2010 at 7:15am.

Customer service rep the other day told me no dates were available for the rest of Aug and all of Sept. I told my fiancee and she was very upset. So i called back today and was given different information.

Do not take the word of the first rep you speak to. Always call back and speak to another rep because they say what they want just to get you off the phone.

I am glad that we have made to the finish line. Good luck to all and thanks for the great advice.

Will keep you posted
