Hi....

At the interview I told the consul that I will travel alone, but my kids are going to be included in the case..

Now I received a letter requiring a dna test for my oldest daughter...

how much is it?

how long does it take?

do I need to wait the result to travel? hope no!

I know she's my daughter... but if the test say that she's not! what happen?

I've only heard of two cases where the US Embassy in Colombia requested a DNA test to be performed before making a final decision on their visas. The embassy will tell you where to go to get this done, if they haven't, ask them if it's ok for any DNA testing office to take care of it. The test costs about $500 or so depending on where you go.

If she's not your biological daughter, she won't be eligible to get her visa and that's pretty much what the embassy wants to verify before they can approve it.
