Totally worth it!

I think the museum has a snackbar.

The Hofbrauhaus dictates that you bring your lederhosen.

We will want pictures.

Seriously folks, if you've never been there, it's worth the trip just to hang out there on a Friday or Saturday night.

Seriously folks, if you've never been there, it's worth the trip just to hang out there on a Friday or Saturday night.

Specially now that its warm... with that outdoor beer garden. But inside you get the music... nice.

I am happy to say here in Chicago we have two Hofbrauhauses...

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Most of the comments in this thread are light-hearted and painful. Several that are racist and baiting have been removed along with the ones quoting it. The acceptable part of the quoting posts are returned below: (give me time to go back and do the copy and paste . . .)

If it was a bit closer to me I would check it out just to see what it's about.

This thing is only about 20 minutes from my house. I've never been there, but my 11-year-old nephew has been several times and he loves it.

I only made it as far as the Hofbrauhaus in Newport, KY. No need to go further into KY.

That's a fact! I like to do all my "scientific exploration" at Hofbrauhaus.

We can do a VJ Field Trip but only if we stop at Hofbrauhaus before. So AJ can fill up on beer.

I'll be the tour guide. (Will work for beer.)

The mosque is pretty close to my house too. It's within walking distance. We could swing by the mosque, hit up the creation museum, then head to the Hofbrauhaus on the way home. On second thought, the trip would be a lot more fun in the reverse order.

Check about using salicilate (sp) as an anti-inflammatory...

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Kentucky's Creation Museum, a facility devoted to the belief that Earth and the universe are only 6,000 years old

Well if you believe in the Bible or God then you have to believe the earth/universe are only 6,000 years old. But of course the religious people like to pick and choose what fairy tales they wish to believe in. "This verse doesn't count, that one does, I interpret it this way, I interpret the garbage written in the Bible this way..., etc."

Here are 4 verses of 1000s that are full of brutal violence...

Kill Children of Sinners

Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21 NAB)

The Angel of Death

That night the angel of the Lord went forth and struck down one hundred and eighty five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. Early the next morning, there they were, all the corpuses of the dead. (2 Kings 19:35 NAB)

More Mass Murder

This is what the Lord of hosts has to say: 'I will punish what Amalek did to Israel when he barred his way as he was coming up from Egypt. Go, now, attack Amalek, and deal with him and all that he has under the ban. Do not spare him, but kill men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and asses.' (1 Samuel 15:2-3 NAB)

Kill Your Neighbors

(Moses) stood at the entrance to the camp and shouted, "All of you who are on the LORD's side, come over here and join me." And all the Levites came. He told them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Strap on your swords! Go back and forth from one end of the camp to the other, killing even your brothers, friends, and neighbors." The Levites obeyed Moses, and about three thousand people died that day. Then Moses told the Levites, "Today you have been ordained for the service of the LORD, for you obeyed him even though it meant killing your own sons and brothers. Because of this, he will now give you a great blessing." (Exodus 32:26-29 NLT)

I really dislike wedging in powerpoint talks between late night and the time I'm supposed to be getting up for lab meets.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Creationism - it's so easy, even a caveman can understand it.

I kind of FEEL like a caveman right now.

The Creation Museum might be the perfect place for me today.
