Yeah, they are saying it's going to be hot here too! I just wish I was hanging out at the beach instead of being in an office all day...

I hope it's nice this weekend. I would love to be at the beach or pool!

Good morning everyone

Its used to be my favorite day .Cuase i used to hang out with my friends after work and used to have a Friday off .But since i moved to USA i dont have freinds to hang out with .And i have everyday off so far LOL .So maybe its not my favorite day anymore .

Its raining cats and dogs here in NC .

Good morning! Happy Thursday to everyone!

Going to be hot here also. Only to get to 102 today! We do have a couple clouds, so guess one could

say it's "partly cloudy"! :lol:

Mornin' HG, Mandy, Andrea and MsW! Stay cool!

Wael is ready for classes to begin next week. He's trying to get his parking permit and the fees are

outrageous!! So he keeps looking for new areas that are open for parking with lower fees. Right now

he on the "waiting" list for 2 lots that opened and are $300 cheaper! Fees are just out of sight here.

Have to tell you something funny that happened. Wael is such a laid back, calm, diplomatic man, so

when he told me this I laughed so much and tried to imagine what went thru his mind. To fullfill his degree,

he has to have a language...of course he knew that, so he went to speak with his advisor. The advisor told

him to speak with the Arabic professor as this is his native language and he wouldn't have to take a class.

Off he goes and he ends up speaking to an assistant. The conversation went like this:

Wael: I'd like to speak to someone about fullfilling my requirement for graduation in my native language.

Lady: What is your native language?

Wael: Arabic

Lady: Are you sure? You speak english so well.

Wael: Yes ma'm. I'm Arabic.

Lady: You will have to take a test to prove you are proficient. It will cost $100.

Wael: Can I just take the class?

Lady: No, you are proficient in Arabic. They won't let you take the class.

Wael: If I'm proficient then why do I have to pay $100?

Lady: To see if you are proficient.

Wael: Ma'm I have a Bachelors degree from Alexandria, Egypt. All the classes were in Arabic.

I was born and raised in Egypt. Is that not proficient enough? You have my transcripts.

All I kept thinking about was "who's on first"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say he will take the pay

the $100 and take the test. What fun.

Here's hoping your day will be filled with laughter and fun!!

Watched Chasing Mummies last night and if I have to hear one more little peep from Zoe I will NOT watch it again.

These students (Fellows) have a chance of a lifetime to go on digs with his highness "The Pharaoh" and all they

do is complain. What is their problem!!! Get some students who would appreciate this chance of a lifetime.

That is a cute story Jeanne. But, I can't believe they are making him pay and take a test in his native language. Boggles the mind.

Watched Chasing Mummies last night and if I have to hear one more little peep from Zoe I will NOT watch it again.

These students (Fellows) have a chance of a lifetime to go on digs with his highness "The Pharaoh" and all they

do is complain. What is their problem!!! Get some students who would appreciate this chance of a lifetime.

What channel and time does it come on? My boss is really into this too and was telling me there is a really cool Egyptian museum/exhibit in NYC.

I think my hubby was watching this last night. Did it come on after American Pickers? He's so obsessed with that show and keeps saying see you really shouldn't get rid of stuff.. you never know when it might be valuable again! We have eternal fighting over me getting rid of stuff we don't need and him wanting to keep all of our stuff (and my families.. and the neighbors.. and people we don't even know) I jokingly call him a trash picker. But he sees those two guys making so much money from their finds that it encourages him too much.

Anyway it was around 2 am and I asked if he was going to come to bed because he would have to get up for suhoor in 2.5 hours and he said I want to sleep but there's a really good show on about mummies! (L) my TV addict lol

it comes on the History channel on Wednesdays...it was on at 9 here in Birmingham... we watched it last night.. this is my first time watching it... i love Dr. Hawass... habibi says he's not interested in stuff like that... i was like what?!?! :blink: i would love the chance to meet Zahi and even go on a dig with him... habibi asked how did i know about Zahi because i really never mentioned him... i said by watching tv... i've always been interested in Egypt long before i met habibi... he says Zahi just wants to impress women.. i said oh :blush: .. oh well.. my oldest daughter said why do you want to watch dead people... but i don't think of it that way.. some of the students had valid questions and Zahi kinda got angry and even told one of the students he was going to put him in a box :rofl: can't wait til next Wednesday... Hey Jeanne and Tunisia :star:

My son is the collector in our house. He gets it from my dad. In fact me and my mom argue who has the biggest clutter in the garage because of it.:blush:

My hubby stays up all night too..lol I would say it's because of the tv but mostly it's because he is talking to all his friends in Egypt!

That and of course Netflix on the WII!! Oh he usually comes crawl in bed about a hour or two before I have to get up and go to work!!!:bonk: That man better find a night job or he'll never make it!!!!:star:
