I'm just trying to work out why marc thinks that NYC muslims are somehow responsible for the minority of terrorists that may or may not be in their midst and what exactly they are supposed to do about it beyond what they are doing now - which we know nothing about, literally.

That the fact that terrorists manage to achieve their aims means that some nice moderate muslim know something significant and fail to do anything about it? AFAIK, protection applies to all. And as I've said, the actual knuckleheads that are being ridiculous in fighting diversity and healing will likely move on to another silly issue to rally around.

It is a fact, I agree. Even the most radical terrorists have friends or family members who are moderates and must at least suspect they are up to no good.
