You might try handing out a little of your sensitivities out to the 9/11 families. So sensitive but yet so bigoted.

What sensitivity to them do I lack Marc? Explain it, real slow, like I am thick or something.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Have you turned over a new leaf when it comes to compassion for 911 victims and survivors? I seem to remember a time when you thought all that compassion was disingenuous.

If you say so. That isn't what I said.

I wonder if asking (again) what reasonable arguments there are against the mosque will result in an answer.

Marc, sitting there and trying to claim that the bigots aren't bigots when their arguments so clearly are derived from prejudice is all well and good - but it would help if you had some substance to support your defence.

I thought you were one of the people who believed in the idea that if it quacked like a duck... Well these people sound like bigots, their words are bigoted, they just might be bigots!

If you disagree - feel free to explain WHY you disagree. Because disagreeing for the sake of disagreement simply isn't convincing (or compelling).

Them, their, those, protesters are all bigots? You dont know a single one of them. But their all Bigots? Peculiar though that you think that all muslims are not terrorists. Hypocrisy and bigotry is so awesome.

Oh boy. Talk about reading something into an issue that simply isn't there

Admitting it is whats a bit*ch.

I said anyone who uses a bigoted argument is bigoted. The arguments about the Park 51 Mosque being "a slap in the face to the victims" or "letting the terrorists win" are bigoted. Would you like me to explain again how they are bigoted?

My comments had to do with all the emoticons being thrown about as if it did some sort of good. Nice try though.

Admitting what? That we must prejudge the muslims who would take part in the Park 51 mosque based on stereotypes about muslim belief?

If the "homosexuality" issue arises, we will have that conversation. However, that is not the issue today.

It doesn't matter - but that "call to prayer" comment and the imagery that accompanied it suggests that the proposed mosque amounts to some sort of "Izlamising of the WTC area" when it is in fact going to be a tasteful modern building in keeping with the character of the surrounding area.

In essence:

Except it's a lie - the mosque will be a 13-story complex with a price tag of 100 million dollars,

not some run-down old building between a Burlington Coat Factory and a bar.

It will be bigger than the memorial itself, which is a slap in the face of 9/11 victims.

Perhaps the families of the victims should focus their anger on the developers and politicians who can't get their act together to develop the WTC site and set down a lasting memorial. Currently, the main 9/11 memorial is in Battery Park.

Even if true, so what? As I understand it, it's a community complex that is being proposed, the mosque being only one part of it, and invisible from the outside, although why anyone would care is still beyond me.

As for what hasn't been done with Ground Zero and who's slapping who in the face, are you blaming the people who want to build a community center somewhere else for that?

I'll be concerned when they try to rename Manhattan into Istanbul and turn the WTC Memorial into the Hagia Sofia.

Because any non-bigoted person knows this is exactly what they want to do.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Even if true, so what?

Right or wrong, people associate 9/11 attacks with Muslims and don't want to see any Islamic shіt in the proximity of the World Trade Center / Ground Zero site.

It's not that difficult to grasp, is it?
