Okay we submitted the documentation to change my wife's visa from student/OPT now that we're married.

The USCIS lockbox received our package on 30 July.

The USCIS sent the three receipts for the I-130, I-485, and I-131 on 5 August.

The USCIS sent the biometric appointment on 11 August, scheduled for 31 August.

After the appointment, what is next? I know there will be some interviews and so forth.

I am curious what the time-frame will end up being. What has to happen after biometrics, what goes on after the interview before getting the residence card, and so on.

Any input would be appreciated.

You may want to do what we call a Walk-in for biometrics. Just show up at the address noted on your letter, most of the time you can go way before your scheduled appointment, resulting in saved time. All that can go wrong is that they turn you back, give it a try. After that, they may send the AOS interview letter. In my own experience, it was a month after I did the walk-in biometrics before I got the interview notice.

A 3 year-4 month-1week journey ends on 09/20/2013, and a new one begins!
