I'm not sure If I am in the right section, but I have a question. I got married to a Colombiana Jul 31st. I am filling out the I130 and also doing the form for her Bio. My first question is, 1. Do I need to send back up documentation for her and I along with the I130 or do they request it at a later time?

2. On my affidavit of financial support, can I go to the IRS and send the copies they give me? I don't have an income problem, I have no idea where my H&R Block files are.

Thanks,Kevin

I'm not sure what 'backup documentation' you are refering to but here is a list of suggested items to send in with your I130

The DS-230 which I think you may be talking about is the bio information on the immigrant, this comes later -during NVC

You don't send in the I-864 affidavit of support yet, that is later on so you have time. Yes, the IRS can send you copies. You can also check with H&R block to see if they have them too

Good luck

You only need to send the paperwork that is listed in the I-130 guide. As for evidence of your relationship, just send a copy of your marriage certificate and a copy of the translation, don't send the original documents. Also, feel free to send to affidavits signed by people who know you both who can verify that you have a bona fide relationship. No need for them to be notarized either. That's all you need to send the USCIS.

Once your petition is approved by them, it'll be send to the National Visa Center (NVC) and that's when you'll need your financial information. You can start by calling the IRS to get your tax transcripts for the last three years so you can have them ready for the NVC. Here's the link with the transcript info: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0%2C%2Cid=110571%2C00.html
