Except the AVR still says to allow 6-8 weeks for review, any idea how long it takes for the AVR to update after the sign in fails? and how long until I get the interview date?

Congratulations!

Usually NVC release interview date every 2nd week of the month for the next month interview schedule so you are looking for October schedule. Did your parent start their medical exam at St. Luke's in Ermita? If not maybe it would be best to ask them to start their medical to find out if they need to undergo this dreaded sputum test as what "kulayblue" term. Goodluck!

All I know is that it is taking way too long.

My case was completed on August 5th and still no appointment date set.

From what they told me, they try to set up your interview on the 2nd tuesday of the month following your case being completed. So at this point they will try to set up your interview the second week of September. You can then call on the 3rd week to check and see if you were lucky enough to be scheduled for the following month.

My 9 year old step-son is sitting there anxiously waiting for his interview and we keep waiting and waiting.
