53 days or 37 working days have passed still no Biometrics..

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading people's post and found that they have done their Biometrics sooner than 30 days or even before they had an RFE, in some occasions. If you check my signature you can see my timeline and please let me know if I should start calling USCIS.

It's been 53 days or 37 working days since I got hard copies of NOA1 and then 14 days after I received hard copy of RFE for I-485. RFE was sent last 16th of August. If I'm going to get my biometrics after they received my RFE response, should I start to count againt 30 days thereafter?

Hi there... I'm afraid I don't have much help to offer... I'm pretty new at this myself... Just out of curiosity... What was the RFE about? t might be possible that the information they requested is needed for them to send the Biometrics...

I'm all up for corrections, but, when you receive a request for evidence, all processing stops for your case(s). Once the evidence is submitted, and USCIS confirms they are satisfied with it, the gears start moving again.

Hi Pixie,

Call the USCIS number on your NOA for the AOS. See thread on top of forums here for what NOT to do (abusing AOS employee). You will tell them what you want, to verify if they mailed you your Biometrics. Then the agent will have to go through a long and silly list of questions. Answer nicely. Don't get frustrated.

At the end of all of this, they will put in a service request for you. My husbands letter was printed and mailed the next day.

it has been almost THREE months and I have yet to receive my biometrics appointment. Not sure why it's taking this long for us :-/ MY friend has her GC appointment on the 30th and she filed everything 3 weeks before I did. Hope it comes soon

making an info-pass will be the perfect idea!! i filed in same time like you and i already had my interview also i did receive a RF for 2009 tax return!!! don't try to call the 800 number it useless!! good luck

The RFE was the 2009 Federal Tax Returns of my husband for the I-864 of the I-485.

NBC received my RFE response for 2009 Federal Tax return of my husband on the 19th of August and today they "touched" my i-485 stating that it's being processed again.

I know that processing of my case stops until RFE is submitted but I was wondering then, some here have actually done their biometrics prior to their RFEs. Reading those actually made me paranoid, I already want to call USCIS but I was thinking that perhaps I should give them a week at least from the time they have received my RFE response.

okay..I couldn't be patient any longer..I called a few seconds ago...The gentleman said that there are delays in certain locales, they couldn't make any referral but he said that I am scheduled for biometrics already...that put me at ease..
