I would like to thank all of you that replied to my "PLEASE HELP`` posting of yesterday.. Your information was very valuable; and appreciated. I do believe now that maybe it was the check....we`ll see, hopefully today; if the letter they sent us arrives. Once we know what the problem is we can fix this. We will be SURE to mail it to the Texas Lockbox. It was quite disconcerting to have this happen so soon....as we are still trying to find our way through this system. Again, I thank you for all your help and support.

I'm sure it was disconcerting to have a problem crop up so soon...but the good thing about that is that you'll waste a minimal amount of time...and it really does seem unlikely to me (and to others) that they could possibly be rejecting you for anything but a very technical reason (ie., something wrong about the check/ application, not something wrong with *you* as a potential resident) at this early date. In other words, I think it's wildly unlikely that they even got the chance to begin name checks, etc.
