Hello all,

I have been reading that some Attorney's have been informing you guys that petitions are not being approved until September, I received my approval this morning stating that my documents have been mailed to me for the next step, I believe that would be my medical and interview in London.

Have hope people, cases are being looked this month.

I haven't read anything about petitions not being approved until September. I read about interviews not being given out until (after) a certain time (interview time slots filled?) but not petitions being approved. Petitions are being approved just about everyday.

07-20-2010: I-130 package mailed.

07-22-2010: I-130 Package Received - Priority Date.

07-29-2010: Received text & email from USCIS - Notice Date.

07-30-2010: Check Cashed by USCIS.

08-02-2010: Received NOA1 hard copy.

08-02,04,05: Touched.

09-28-2010: Received text & email - petition approved.

10-04-2010: Received NOA2 hard copy.

NVC

10-13-2010: NVC Case# Received (after calling).

10-15-2010: Emailed DS-3032 to NVC.

10-16-2020: Received the DS-3032 package, IIN number & AOS bill via email.

you may want to check the two case receipt #'s.

for the I-130, next step is NVC processing.

for the I-129F, next step is for NVC to administratively close it.

Prior to 1 FEB 2010, the I-129F would make its way over to the Embassy in London.

approval ? approval of petition? sorry, doesn't work that way.

approval of VISA - that occurs, finally, on INTERVIEW DAY, and then usually the Approved Visa, inside of the passport, combined with a 'visa packet' , is mailed back to yer address.

as to 'how long this takes' -

at this stage, all varies due to 'how long you live at NVC', for NVC processing.

Many people want speed, so they study up on LingChe's shortcuts or use my mini-how-to for utilising the online payment portal.

But, let's take a look, yes?

I-130 approval - that's today-ish, yes?

I-130 sent out from USCIS to NVC - 2 weeks max

NVC opens casefile - 1 to 11 days

NVC Processing (You, yer USC Spouse, and NVC staffers) - 1 to 3 months

Appointment Date Set - 1 to 5 weeks after final review at NVC

Appointment itself - 3 to 11 weeks after 'appointment date set'

Realistically, if the two of you (you and yer wife) rush through things at NVC (cause yer prepared, aye?) then

you might have that visa stamp by ThanksGiving, 3rd week in November.

It's really hard to say.

OY ! You gots yer civil documents ready for the DS-230 ? http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html as NOW is the time to start collecting them.

Just a thought. How would lawyers know when the USCIS are approving when? Insider information? Just wondering..
