When do we start getting paperwork together after NOA1

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew exactly when one should start gathering the necessary paperwork for the interview. My fiance is Moroccan and I guess documents "expire" after three months. We don't want to wait too long and not have everything ready for his interview...whenever that may be. Should we start collecting the paperwork after the NOA2 or wait until he is contacted by the embassy (or whoever contacts them)? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

15- 24 June 2010 my first visit to Morocco

22 July 2010 I-29F sent

29 July 2010 I-29F received

5 August 2010 touched

3 October 2010 touched

26 January 2011 NOA2/petition approved

I believe you need to wait for the NOA2 specially if the documents expire after 3 months..I have being waiting almost 2 months and NOA2 still a no show..I will advise wait that way you dont obtain the paperwork and for a delay here it expires..

Yes I think for those Documents that do not get expired, it is better to wait until NOA2. I am doing the same.

  • 02.17.2011 - Packet left from NVC to ABU DHABI (Dubai)
  • 02.19.2011 - NOA2 hard copy received
  • 02.22.2011 - Packet reached ABU DHABI's consulate
  • 03.02.2011 - packet 3 & 4 received by email
  • 03.02.2011 - Confirmation of Interview on 04.14.2011 -
  • 03.07.2011 - Fiancee passed medical exam.
  • 04.14.2011 - K1-Visa Approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • 04.21.2011 - Picked up Visa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest if he has not already done so that he go ahead and get his passport and the new identity card because those things can take 6-8 weeks to process with the Moroccan Government.
