William probably could have done without the eyeroll emoticon, true.

You say this like it's a minor point. It's not. It conveys disdain, disrespect, and contempt for the poster being replied to. Coming from a moderator, it's multiplied. It's not a small detail Jenn, it's everything. And as I said, the best course of action would have been to ignore the post. The thread was going nicely...little bit of ranting, even a helpful suggestion on my part. One of the things a good moderator knows is when to stay out of a conversation.

It's all a matter of perspective, I didn't see William's post as baiting - because I know what it's like to have people criticize you because they think they know all about what went on when they really have no idea.

As I understand it, W33 wasn't even part of the incident AJ was talking about. (I could be wrong, I didn't go back to find the original post) If true, why even say anything at all? Kathryn is a big girl, and I've seen her do quite well taking care of herself.

And I really want to drill this point home: Charles. Fecking CHARLES was the voice of clarity in this conversation. And when he did clarify, AJ backed down. Again, if you are baiting, you don't back down.

This from you, mox: "Ladies and gentlemen, your Visa Journey moderating team." , I interpreted as snarkiness, not openly criticizing mod decisions.

Guilty as charged. But I'm not a moderator.

Well, if jumping into the middle of a thread that was running just fine on its lonesome and then abusing his power by throwing out an "official warning" in an attempt to bully a member into silence after being challenged, isn't baiting, then call it what you want, but it sure as hell wasn't the kind of behavior we should expect from our moderating staff.

Trompe, their chief weapon is surprise. Surprise and fear....fear and surpr--...their two weapons are fear and surprise. And ruthless efficiency. Their *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Ewok. Their four...no...their weapons...amongst their weaponry are such elements as fear, surprise...I'll come in again.

Thanks to Mox's comedic talents I am now the proud owner of a diet coke filled nose.
