Should I use my parents' asset?

My parents have over $10000 in their bank account but their incomes are sufficient enough to meet the I-864's income requirement. Normally, I would include the asset with my application but I don't want NVC to know that they are paying over $2500 for home loan, which is more than half of their incomes. Should I include it anyway?

If income is sufficient then you don't need to include assets. They are optional.

Top of the Asset declaration page of AOS says it is optional to enter. In the past, I left it completely blank and had no issues.
