when can u say you are APPROVED?

So when can you really say that you are approved for a K1 visa? How do you know that? unless of course the consulate officer who interview you will say it to you personally or unless you will ask the consulate officer. But how about when after the interview, then they will call you again to pay for the delivery. Does that mean you are approved? Does paying for the delivery of "the visa? and passport" means you are APPROVED?:huh:

You're approved because the consulate officer tells you're approved at the time of your interview. They can say you're approved, you're not approved, we need more information, etc. Usually you can pick up your visa (in your passport) within the next day or two.

Some consulates will keep your passport and mail it to you with the visa attached.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

We'll to give you more details. I just had my interview last August 10 at the US-embassy Manila. I did not ask if I am apprioved or heard the consulate officer who interviewed me that I am APPROVED. But after the final interview, less than 5 minutes of waiting, they called me up again to pay for the delivery. I really do not know how one like me know that I am approved or denied. I received a lot of confusing answers lately. They say that once you are called and ask to pay for the delivery, you are approved. I really do not know. Could someone tell me from those that are applying here in the Philippines, how does that works? How do I know that by paying to Delbros means you are APPROVED?

I had a similar experience in London. From London I understand that is they keep your passport then you are getting the visa - the proof will be in a couple of days time when I get the passport back though and can check it. Maybe you could post under your regional area for more specific info from Manila?

Good luck!!!

My fiancee had his interview last week and the officer told him he was approved.

Since they didn't ask for more information or tell you that you were NOT approved, I would guess that everything if fine.

I have also seen people post about getting a "pink slip" at the interview--which I think means you were not approved, but need to provide more information.

Why not just contact them and ask, so you don't have to wait for the passport to get to you before you find out?

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

My fiance was interviewed in Tokyo Japan. After the interview she was told by the consular that she would receive her visa 1 week after the embassy received her NBI Police clearance from the Philippines. Japan normaly mails back the passport with visa. Then in plain view, the consular put a big "APPROVED" stamp on her DS-230 form. She got the visa 2 days after submitting the NBI clearance. My fiance and I chose to beleive she was approved right after the interview.

when they keep the passport you are approved :)

Not neccesarily... Sometimes they take the passport, and make you wait a long time, and then give it back and require AR/Ap... Depending on the consulate.
