Hmmm...I have Allstate. I have a local agent who calls every few months and emails every month to see if there's anything I need from him. My rates are good for the number of cars I have, and I've never had a problem with them.

eta: The one time I did have a question and his secretary wasn't sure of the answer, they called me back within 5 minutes with the answer.

I've had 1 accident, it was the other drivers fault. The cops wrote it up as "driver inattention". The other driver had insurance from another carrier (I no longer recall which one) and I let GEICO manage the effort to retrieve money from them. They did good.

I recently filed an auto glass claim with them, that was easy too.

 Geico's quote is way less than Amica's. I went to J.D. Power for their insurance companies' ratings - both of them are rated as really good.

Rates are going to really depend on where you are and what kind of driver you are, so better to get recommendations based on service, IMO. I work for a great service company and I'll PM you a recommendation, Steven. ;)

I have Progressive because my husband doesn't have the greatest driving record and Progressive is generally the most competitive for those with poor driving history.

Thanks, Jenn. Yeah, Amica gave me a quote for $1,500/year - with 100,000/300,000. I thought that wasn't too bad until I got a quote from Geico for the same coverage and got about $380 for 6 months. That's a huge difference.
