We got married at the court house with my family in attendance. Then we went to a few local parks where my mom took photos. That evening, we had a nice dinner alone at the revolving restaurant on the river.

We got married at the beach here in Florida with just a few friends and my family. Small reception at our house after. No stress.

We got married on the front lawn by our neighbor who is a JP. Alla did have a white wedding dress made in Ukraine, so she wore a more or less traditional dress and shawl and I wore a suit. (big sacrifice for me, it is not easy to find a suit here) We had a party of friends and neighbors on a Friday evening at our house.

We have discussed a more formal wedding, but not seriously yet, and I doubt we ever will unless it is some sort of "renewal of vows".

We had discussed having a reception. My wife didn't want to pay for a bunch of people she really didn't know to get drunk. Even a small reception would have cost about $3,000. She said that money would be better spent on something for us. As it turned out, it paid for an additional trip back and forth to Ukraine for her son and other related things.

in a matter of 3 weeks my mother and sister managed to pull off a full blown russain orthodox wedding at the local greek orthodox church  the priest was pretty excited to do the ceremony (you feel very married after such a wedding) and a great reception at the local Hilton all for a very reasonable price. we had about 20 people total.
