I know this probably doesn't deserve a post but since I'm getting ansty and I'm bored and don't have a job yet, I decided to post.

So my case was updated around 8pm last night, I checked the USCIS website for a case status and in the portfolio page, under the "Last Updated" tab, the date was August 17 and I then got an email with this message:

Post Decision Activity

On August 16, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Today, August 17, I checked my case again and in my portfolio page, under the "Last Updated" tab, the date is now August 17, but I haven't got an email yet with any explanation. When I clicked on the case number, it gave the same message as I got last night:

Am I going to eventually get another email explaining the activity or is the update I got today reminding about the update from last night?

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

All the update will tell you is that they have mailed you a notice. There may or may not be instructions there-but your EAD has been approved. :)

You will (or should) get a different update when the card is mailed.

And yeah, the system sucks. ;)

I hope I receive it by then. I'm still kicking myself in the a@@ because I had to turn down a really good job 3 weeks ago. It was a job at an educational institution, but since schools have started, those jobs are not available anymore so I will have to look to another field. I must have applied for at least 15 jobs since I got the Card Production email two days ago. Just hoping to be blessed with a job and be employed soon.
