Take it however you like. You can't read Hal's post and let what he said stand. There was nothing ambiguous about it, nothing unreasonable. You introduced a completely irrelevant tangent into the thread, claimed that the post wasn't clear enough for your liking and then went on a big rant demanding that you be provided with clarity.

I think this is a simple case of a soldier having her pic taken amidst something interesting.

Looks like she just stepped into the scene... rather than created it.

Wrong by military law but in this case harmless.

I think that that the occupation of the Palestinian territories corrupts and dehumanises both Israelis and Palestinians alike. This is an example of it.

LIsten to what you are saying.

IMagine you are apprehended and hand cuffed (for what ever reason), someone stands near you and someone else snaps a picture.

In your mind you consider this abuse and humiliation? If so you have had a very very soft life.

If I were captured on the battle field or arrested, I would think someone snapping my picture as meaningless.

As for the whole Israelis / Palestinian thing..... thats a separate issue.
