But...but I like haggis ;_;

There's a festival here once a year called the Highland Games--this area was settled by the Scots and the Irish and you know how americans lurve their roots--and we go to that to pick up little foodstuffs that he can't get here otherwise. Then I make him listen to the bagpipes and go on and on about how it's his heritage.

...and somehow he loves me still.

Where do you live? You can't be too far from me. I went to the Highland Games in Mint Hill last year but didn't get to the bigger one at Rural Hill.

gemmie - check out englishporkpiecompany.com. Excellent bacon & sausages, and sausage rolls and pork pies. Pasties are OK. There right here in Buffalo & I highly recommend them. No minimum purchase, either. :star:

I need a drooling smiley.

Thank you!

Not far from me at all, I'm just off Pineville-Matthews Road in the Carmel Commons area of Charlotte. We're virtually neighbours! :)

Have either of you been to the Grandfather Mountain Highland games? Those are quite good as well.

It's a small world and all that. I used to live closer to you, off Park Road near Quail Hollow. I miss all the sidewalks! Hey, you don't know if they moved that british foodstore that used to be off Park road anywhere else, do you?

Is that...near Atlanta? I can't remember where Grandfather Mountain is.

Oh no, Grandfather Mountain is in the heart of the Blue Ridge, very near Boone, NC. If I remember correctly, it's one of the largest gatherings/games in the country.
