then his nomination sucks. disagree...check post history

From what we've seen - post history isn't a bar to becoming a moderator ;)

Provided the person is willing to take the role seriously, to refrain from trolling in (any) of the forums, not just the ones that they moderate. Why not?

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been itching to say that.

On the other hand, the most recent global mod has a pretty good posting history, so let's hope this is something Ewok has decided might be a good thing.

I'm awfully sorry, but I don't see you post much in the UK forum. Do you know what all the personalities are like in there, and the various friendships, spats, make-ups, in-jokes and topics of conversation? What makes you, as a PI poster, qualified to pass judgement on her putative modding ability in the UK sub-forum alone?

agreed. but, all the evidence needed is there. it'd be like making me or you OT mod.

I don't think you'd find many people in the UK forum who would say Julez's behaviour in the UK forum is anything like yours or Six's in OT. I would make a terrible UK mod and I said so -- I would not be able to be fair. Three months ago might have been a different story, but now, pfffft.

 isn't that what people have been complaining about?

I am labeling myself as a legacy member....Just sayin'.

Anyway, I think that the atmosphere on VJ has always been how it is now. Years ago there were folks 'missing the way it used to be' or 'it never used to be this waaaaaaay' or ' I remember when this was a nic plaaaaaaaaaace...' or 'it was never so cruel/heartless/racist/intolerant/sexist blah de blah....when the truth is IT WAS!!!!!!!

The difference I see is the moderation. There didn't seem to be nearly as much hoohaa BEFORE moderators. I *think* that since this site has been moderated and nannied the atmosphere has become alittle more....rebellious...I dunno.

Either way....It's the same IMO.

EDIT- and it's my opinion that the arguing with the moderators about their actions causes more drama than the thread they are doing whatever with in the 1st place....( does that make sense).

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

i don't need to post in the UK forum. i seen her venom in other forums, this one included.

like i said her personality has oozed outside the UK forum before. i don't need to read the UK forum.

although it says you joined in 2006.. I am pretty sure there were moderators at that time but I could be wrong...
