On August 12, I received the following email:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

This file is now being transferred from the NVC to the US Embassy or

Consulate General where the beneficiary's interview will take place.

Please be advised that further forms and/or fees may still be requested

by the US Embassy/Consulate to complete the processing of this case. Any

further inquiries should be directed to the assigned US Embassy or

Consulate General.

Sincerely,

ARI

I call the NVC this morning to ask about my interview date and the woman on the phone tells me that my case was approved by the consulate to be expedited, but my case is still at the NVC. I tell her that I received this email saying that my case is en route to the consulate and she says to me, "I don't know why you received that, ma'am."

Before I stab somebody up in this place, will someone explain to me what all of this means? Where is my case? Is this email fraudulent or did the woman not know what she was talking about?

I am so LIVID right now, you have no idea...

I'm sorry to hear that. Good luck to you!

I do have a question.. how did you get expedited through the NVC? What reason did you give them?

Thanks!
