unless you meet a expedite criteria there is nothing you can do . Things take time. Call and inquire the status.

Thanks, unfortunately I don't fall under any of those criteria (or seeing what they are, I'd say fortunately).

The wait is excruciating, the processing reports for USCIS are late again (supposed to be out on 15th).

If my PD is current in September bulletin (F2A), yet USCIS California Service Center I-130 petition status is still "Initial Review" - is it possible to get them to process it faster through service/expedite request?

If your PD Is current, that's NVC issue, not USCIS one. You should've had approved application by now. Sponsor ever received NOA2?

Nope, just NOA1 and no touches. The uscis.gov case status page still shows "Initial Review". NVC probably wouldn't even know about my existence, as they never received the documents from USCIS.

I'm hoping that this month's USCIS report will clear things up a bit. The processing time figure posted now is everything earlier than March 23rd, 2009. That's a lot of people in my situation. (F2A cut-off date in September bulletin is 01JAN10)

P.S. My PD is October 2009

Hi, can you give me an update on what happened to your case?

We are actually on the same boat. We are almost done with the process on the NVC, but we did not received any NOA2 from USCIS, when I check the status online, it says they received the RFE we sent and they touched the case last October 21, 2009.

My PD is May 10, 2009, they are already processing papers for July 14, 2009 so our PD is already current. I try to call them but they said they can only discuss status with the Petitioner, is that right? My husband works during office hours.

Thanks and I hope we will all received our approval notice soon.

My petition was approved a few days ago after being touched. The PD is October 2009 and the beneficiary is from the country that is exempt from per-country limits. Right now I'm waiting for the case to be forwarded to NVC and further processing to take place there.

If your receipt date is earlier than the latest processing time report from your service center (California, Nebraska, Texas etc.), USCIS suggests that you call 1-800-375-5283 for assistance. Be prepared to give them your receipt number (WAC... for California Service Center).

Most delays are caused by background checks or some mistake in the documents submitted. I'm sure your call should straighten things up.

Good luck with your journey!

Thanks so much for the reply, I tried to call but they dont want to give out status about the case unless the petitioner is the one calling them. Problem is that my husband works the time they are open, I wish I can call on his behalf.

Question again? Would it affect my petition if I did not received NOA2 from USCIS?

I believe NOA2 usually refers to Notice of Approval which you receive only after your petition is already approved. Therefore, until it is actually approved, it is only natural that none would be mailed out.

My husband double check his files and we found out that he received the i-797 Notice of Action from USCIS last October, it states there that the petition is already approved and was forwarded to NVC, so I believe that's the NOA2 already.

Thank you, Faithful Jesus!!! I love you, Lord!

you should call NVC Hotline now, see if any status. Good Luck !

Yes, actually we are done with submitting all documents to NVC last. But we did not hear from them up to now. I am praying that there will be NO RFE and our case will be complete soon.

Thanks! May GOD SHOW HIS FAVOR TO ALL OF US!
