Hello All,

My case just completed at NVC in 19 days (quicker than I expected), and now I'm curious to know when my interview may be. Does anyone have timelines for the Montreal consulate? The reason I am inquiring is because my husband and I are going to be in Asia for about 6 weeks and I'm hoping that I won't have to fly back to Canada in the midst of travelling for the interview.

Doubt you would have to fly back.. waiting times at montreal are pretty big unless your SO is going to deploy and you get an expedite.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

You can search people's timelines for recent CR1/IR1 Montreal interviews. That should give you some kind of estimate.

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

When's your trip?

Nobody's going to be able to give you a really great estimate; wait-times have ranged from about 60 days to something like 192, if I remember rightly. Those of us currently waiting are waiting a loooong time. I've been waiting over three months already.

Good luck.

C.

I am pretty sure you will be fine as long as your trip is coming up soon. From what I have seen most people find out about their interview date 5-9 weeks before the actual Interview. We case completed in mid May and are currently waiting for our dates, No cr-1/Ir-1 visa interviews have been booked in quite sometime now. Maybe they will get on track soon but because of the back log I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just make sure to check your emails well gone or have someone check your mail If you do not use email.

Good luck
