The goal was to show the rest of the Ummah that America is weak and can be beaten. Encourage them all to rise up and fight against the Great Satan.

Guess what? The point has not been made. Iraq was a nice country by MENA standards and is now a sh1thole, thanks to America. Afghanistan was a sh1thole and will be for a long time, thanks to America. Leadership in Yemen and Morocco and elsewhere are watching and learning. Maybe now is not a good time after all.

Not really. We're getting comfortable now comparing ourselves - in terms of freedom and liberty - to Saudi Arabia. If the goal of the 9/11 attacks was to destroy the American way of life, to have us throw overboard that which made this country great, then they're still succeeding to this date.

That's why I maintain that the anti-Muslim/anti-mosque crowd is in league with the terrorists. They have decided that their feelings about a place override the civil and human rights this country has stood for. They blindly believe what the enemies of this country stand for and promote division and hatred. Whether or not the Cordoba House is built, the 9/11 terrorists have made us less than what we were: they win, no matter what.

To be honest here. If I wanted to build a church and got a huge backlash because of a very sensitive subject. I would prolly invite all people involved and figure out a way to remedy the situation. My main concern would be a place to worship for my congregation and not its location.
