Oh man, my fiancee keeps telling me he'll miss having a nice baked gourmet meat pie.

I haven't been through all the pages but, does anyone have an very good/easy to make recipe for that? :) I don't want him to be too homesick.

He's been here and was disappointed by our bread or something. He says it tastes different with vegemite. Our bread is supposedly much sweeter than aussie bread. *shrug* lol seems the same to me!

I got my NOA2 today!! So excited :)

HELLLLLO ALLLLLL!

Well I got my visa...sort of...lol...

Its pending a name change or passport name change - currently my birth cert has my first, middle & last name. My passport only has my first and last name. Consulate gave me a choice of go to the registar and change my name to just be first and last orrrr change my passport to include middle.

I'm in a bit of a pickle - most of my bills, credit card and license has only my first and last name. My citizenship only had my first and last name. However, most if ot all my forms submitted included my middle name. I'm a bit confused on what to do

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Ok guys,..not to get off track here, but just wanted to share something with you.

I need to pop into our "lil downunder" more often, and I'm sorry that I dont contribute as much as I used too, It's not that I dont think about all of you and your journeys, I wish you all the very best and speediest of approvals.

My hubby, Brian has been in Iraq 4 months today, on his second 12 month tour of that ratty dirty sandbox. He re-enlisted yesterday, Indefinately this time. He has served 14 years, and re-upped to retire from the Military. So, it's another 6 years or thereabouts for us.

I AM SO DAMNED PROUD of my hubby and all he has achieved as an MP over there trying to train up and oversee the Iraqi Police.

Please keep him in your thoughts.

hey everyone

congratulations to all those who have got visas and are waiting interviews

Jodee i lost your email address

Ive had some hassles of my own i got my cal drivers licence but the dam legal department of the dmv put a hold on it. When i rang them to find out why apparently in there ins department i am still listed in my maiden name that i entered the states with and my green card is in my married name as is my drivers licence they said they cant connect the 2 names so we went back to the dmv took my passport marriage certificate and green card and after an hour and half of argueing and them ringing there legal dep i think they have finaly released it apparently the ins can take alot of time to update all there different data bases mind you i got my green card in june last year.

Kath well mate all i can say is go Carlton the mighty blues

also i found this site that sells four n twenty pies in usa it says they are made with traditional aussie products

nycangel for your interview being changed to a closer date keep us informed....:thumbs:

Elle good on ya mate wasnt as bad as you thought huh :dance:

if it was me i would change what you have to change to getting your middle name included only because your applications included it and when it comes to anything to do with USCIS your identified quicker on the computer..eg..there might be millions of john smith's but a few thousand with john horris smith...ya get me...hope it helps...im thinking along the lines of future FBI checks for you...

Jodee ltns in here mate glad your well and supporting that hubby of yours...congrats on the 3rd wedding anniversary also

Robbie and my thoughts are with your hubby to stay safe as it is to all the troops over there...and for you also to stay strong in the long drawnout seperations you are going through mate..... (L)(F):D

aussie angel ... hells bells ...and they want to up the fees to get more efficent...i cant see it happening myself...kaffykat had the same problem with the updating of the system when she went for her SSN...i havent updated my SS card yet wonder if that will happen to me will let ya know...but at least ya passed the test...im waiting for winter to be over with then i will go for mine...and fancy you being a carlton supporter sheesh....also will check out that site ya posted too

its snowing here again quite heavily too...i just love watching it..
