hiya

moonie i hope you get your approval soon and we all know what it was like to seperated or presently seperated...just hang in there and all will be good when he gets there believe us...its a cloud 9 experience to be with them..

girlfromoz...my experience from packing was i think back now an think of the stuff i should of brought but robbie just sez dont worry we can buy one of those...the one mistake i did make was i didnt bring my heavy winter coat so robbie bought me a whole slew of coats for chrissy...also if you have some fur lined boots they are great for the cold an snow otherwise just buy a pair here mine only cost us 29 dollars and they are so warm an comfortable...

also get some of those plastic bags that you suck the air out of for your wedding dress as soon as you get here take it out and steam the creases out in the bathroom...

rings i think she will be fine with the temps mate im a melbournian and i have weathered -17c here quite well.. whis is about 0f the way i look at ohio weather is although it gets cold here i have felt wose in melbourne ...standing at a bus stop lol...i might be wrong in all this but girlfromoz is a melbournian and were tough when it comes to weather lol...

Well ours is all sent off....*fingers crossed* it doesn't get lost in the mail.. Cos it was heavy (that was all our back-dated emails we printed for proof of relationship lol..) we had to declare what was in there..we put NCV and stated it was a book lol.. then J went and accidently said all his details were in there and felt silly afterwards....oh well lets hope it's all alright....

Rings I can't believe they got yours in a day...? We were told the quickest was a few days and that was by express....!?!

I sent mine priority express post and I paid for them to have to sign for it. I tracked the package on the website and requested a proof of delivery and a signature of who signed for it. Because it contained so much important documents, it meant a lot to me to know the details in case it was lost on who touched it. Now the package was fairly expensive to send, but it was laid out nicely. I had it in a 3 ring binder with deviders and everything. We didn't send all of our IM conversations and stuff, but we did send in about 5 or 6 sworn affidavits that we had everyone notarized before they signed them. I thought the main proof of the relationship was done during the interview and that we only had to send one or more items of proof with the petition (according to the directions on the petition) I hope I didn't do it wrong. I am already so paranoid. I forgot to write our names on the back of the phots so I hope that wont mess anything up either gah!

The worry that I have done it wrong is making me feel so ill. I am so scared that I may mess up and prolong our time. I hate waiting and worrying. I wish there was some other way

Hmm...we must be risk takers or just finantially stretched cos we just sent as is :-O You sound like you went to a lot of trouble so I wouldn't be too worried. Goodness were the affidavits supposed to be notorised? Now you're making me paranoid lol.. And now that you mention it I forgot to put my name of my photo....but goodness, who else is it going to be a picture of???

I don't know lol I have never done this before. I was just so paranoid of everything being right and we don't have the money to keep trying over and over again or anything so it is important for us not to get denied and have to start over. I had people notarize the affidavits because I am freaking out about them saying that we lack enough proof of our relationship or something and I wanted the documents to be seen as legit to the government, but the reality is that I don't know ####### about what I am doing here lol. I am just trying to take any added extra steps that I can. i should have thought to send in some regular photos or IM conversations or e-mails or something I don't know. I do know that once I am done with this I will try to help out others that are in my position right now so they feel less worry. I just know that we are going to be ok. You guys will make it. And really... if they don't know who it is in the photo then what the hell are they doing working for the government lol. Thank you for the laugh. I really needed to smile.

On another note.. are you filing for DCF? I am going for the K3 so maybe it's different. I don't know. I wondered if I should file for DCF. Is that a faster way? I should have done that *sigh* but dangit I am just a person in the world! lol

Lol.. No worries, thanks for the reassurance. I feel like it should be ok, apart from that we checked over it millions of times but you never know aye.. We feel everything has gone so well so far so hopefully we're on the right track. It really will be a pain in the butt if we've missed something and have to send it all that way back and forward..

Lol.. We filed DCF cos I didn't want to have to do the change of status once I was there, I wanted to relax for a while before I had to do anything like this again plus it just suited us since he was going to be here anyway for school but that was also when the interviews were in person in Melbourne so it's a little riskier us here and our details all the way over there but what else do ya do....?

I am a mother of two and Loke is in Australia so its harder for me to get there. He is coming to visit me soon I hope. He is trying to get the time off of work to make the trip.

I am not too bothered by him having to file for the change of status when he gets here because at least he will be here and it will be easier for us to do it together. I figured that we would do that pretty much straight away while we are still in the paperwork mode. Then when it's all done, we can kick back relax and grow old together, but when the kids are grown we will have to go through it all again when we go back to Australia.

The only other thing was I think I read in the websites that they give out visa numbers quicker to couples married than not (engaged), I think.

Yeah, it is a lot $ and a long trip so am hoping we have it all done by July so we can fly back together for his mother's wedding otherwise I will have to miss out and come later on my own....

I also figured we would have enough to do just setting up home again once we get back to Arizona and finding a job for me to bother with this financially also....

awe your going to make it! I just know that you will. What i don't get is why they give Australians a hard time coming to America when in all realty I should have married his butt to go there lol. It's so pretty there. They should worry more about us invading you guys lol.
