When we get interview dates Ill have to look out for him lol, at the very least we could stop each other from jumping off the 59th floor of the building thanks to nerves lol.

what an historical event the 4th was for the states....i am so happy he won...actually i dreamt he did a month ago..and in the dream i pushed him down on his knees and made him promise all that he promises will come true lol...funny dream though lol...

cham i wouldnt worry about the age difference thing mate...i am 8 years younger than my hubby and it wasnt even questioned..and to both of you the interview part of this journey is the easiest part as long as you have everything in order that they want it and bring everything they ask for...

im still excited about this result and was smiling and crying all the way through obama's speach....shame you have to be a citzen to vote...i am use to having that right to vote ....

congrats to all the americans who voted either way...i must also add i thought mcains speach was very gracious and well said...

ME to UNLESS he can speed up OUR process and make it faster for us. I do not think it is fair IF they did give them amensty and I do not think he will do that.

Right now we're just waiting on the GC to be approved - with our without an interview is the main question. Our application was transferred to California last month and other K-1 AOS applicants have said that it normally means NO INTERVIEW - that would be grand

I'm gearing up to go home to Australia for about 6 weeks - we're going to look into flights tonight and hopefully seal that deal. I'm itching to go home and spend Christmas at home. I've been busy buying Christmas presents and the like.

Any other Aussies on this thread waiting on their GC like me?

I cant wait to PHYSICALLY spend a holiday again with Kai...We are keeping the tree up even if it is march or april SO he can open his gifts LOL..We have decided to decorate the house up with every holiday he missed!! I hope he will like it.

So question for those who have been through this process already: (sydney consulate)

1. How does the interview date procedure work exactly? Do you get to request a date, or do they just assign it to you? Is there anyway to pick a range of dates you can make it? Basically how does it work?

2. About how long did it take to get the police certificate? (weeks, months?, days?) We're in Victoria if that helps.

i am 6 years older then my husband and had no issues at all .... just keep all pictures and video conference files on disk if you can .. maybe they will ask for evidence - maybe not .. depends on who you get at the consulate for the interview ..... however from my experience they were all really nice ........

hubby and i hit our one year anniversary next month and our baby will be borne in what we hope will be 2 weeks .....

Annax - they assign you a date and time for the interview and for the certificate it took me about 2 weeks to get but once you request one you can call some number and ask them for a ETA ....

Valentines day in a kitchen..... well I suppose it could start there, I've heard strawberries, chocolate and whipped cream are an awesome combination......

I have also heard rumour that you can call up and book to do your medical once the NOA2 has been recieved in the states? Is this a yes or no? I am hoping to get it done ASAP once the NOA2 comes through, especially since I know it is vaild for 12months once it is issued, in a hope to have it ready for interview, and possibly a quicker interview time if im lucky.
