Very beautiful pictures :)

Whilst it wasn't diving, I did get my husband into the Pacific Ocean at the Gold Coast. I warned him about the dumps... wasn't enough :P We left with him having a stomach full of salt water and not feeling all that good, but he had a great time :)

Vylex: I'm wondering, what e-mail address did you use? When I e-mailed them, I went to their site and used the immigration sydneyiv@state.gov address. I'm thinking it was the wrong one now as I still have nothing. Eh, I'm still concerned :P I'd like for them to know that I'll be bringing my police certificate with me so they're not waiting for it.

The Beginning

September 29th, 1999 - 'hooked' up with Dave after chatting with him for about a year online.

October 23rd, 2004 - September 29th, 5 years to the day, he proposed to me =D

July 23rd, 2005 - Dave comes over for the wedding on July 27th at the beach :)

Sometime in December, he sends off I-130 to Texas and promptly leaves me in the dark like a mushroom x.X...

The Saga Continues *dumdeduuummm*

August - phone NVC. intriguing :\ Phoned again, ah hah! the truth... no record of us >< losers... Go and visit Dave for 3 months...

End of January, we sent the petition back in again. 2 weeks later, we actually get a number in our hot little hands.

April 5th - NOA2 approved!

April sometime, received and sent back Choice of Agent

May 18th - Received IV Bill

May 28th - Sent IV Bill MO back

June 11th - DS-230 generated

July 12th - Received and sent back DS-230 packet

July 19th - NVC Sent Husband checklist of AoS. They forgot to fill in N/A fills with.... N/A x.X

July 23rd - DS-230 entered

July 26th - NVC received checklist regarding financial suppliment (ie, got a talking to on the phone :P)

August 1st - sent financial papers back

August 3rd - (Automatic msg) Financial records lacking! ARGH!~

August 7th - Received actual fixed paperwork - 'processing'

August 17th - NVC COMPLETED CASE!~

September 10th - Received packet 3

September 17th - Medical in Brisbane

November 14th - Interview VISA GRANTED

December 8th - Landed in USA

December 24th - GreenCard Arrives

I received a phone call from Sydney last week about my appointment... I HAVE MY VISA IN MY HAND!!!!! I bloody cant believe it but in a week and a half I am out of here! So a big THANK YOU to everybody who has answered all of my questions on VJ and I hope Sydney gets around to you soon. I think I got in early because we filed the i-130 months ago in April but I am just guessing. But thanks to everyone and hopefully I can meet up face to face with fellow VJers!

Thanks LOL! I want to visit the Gold Coast on my next trip. It's close enough for a few days getaway on Jetstar for cheap. Glad he had a great time!

That's the correct address. Just email them again. Also, if you have spam protection check the folder. Did you get the autoreply back when you sent (usually received within the hour after emailing them). If not, it might be in the spam folder. Resend it too if they didn't reply. I bet you hear back pronto.

In any case this is what they wrote to me when I asked about a NSW Police certificate.

Dear Sir:

Those documents are not required until the day of the interview. Therefore, your spouse can bring it with her to the interview. We will require the original certificate with a photocopy.

Thank you

Good luck you will go fine. My interview was really painless! I had to sit around for a bit but no dramas and the only questions I got were "so you were married last year?" and "is your wife in Australia?" apart from that they looked at all my paperwork and said yes and I have my visa in my hand! But good luck once again, enjoy the snow and hopefully the flight goes by quick! All the best, david

Hey Tony - no where in town that I know of. Come to Ft. Lauderdale with us :) As for the places in town the only one we know about is the Walkabout Cafe which is ok. They sell four and twenties, so Stewart gets those sometimes. They have a pretty cool Australia Day celebration with live music and such.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!
