06-01-2005 - Touched each other for the first time at LA Airport

07-31-2005 - Said our sad goodbyes at Louisville Airport after 2 blissful months together.

02-15-2006 - Nothing, no touches, just plain nothing! (Day 107)

02-16-2006 - Beginning to lose the plot.

8-8-2005 Met in person in the US. Visa Waiver.

22-10-2005 Engaged.

2-11-2005 Flew back to Sydney. Many tears!

5-11-2005 Began visa journey.

2-12-2005 Shadow (Andrew) posts petition.

7-12-2005 NOA1 dated the 5-12-2005.

..................Interview went well, just waiting on Criminal History checks to post back with that envelopee and passport to get visa.

5-6-2006 Received Criminal History Check in the mail and posted off back to consulate with passport etc hoping for it's return with visa in two weeks.

14-6-2006 Passport and visa recieved in mail. Visa issued the 13th.

24-6-2006 USA here I come

26-7-2006 Received Social Security Card in less than 5 working days after applying.

2000 - Met online in yahoo chat rooms (had known cousin and brother for a year or two)

06-10-2005 - James visited Australia for first time on ETA- met in person

02-14-2006 - Engaged on Valentines day!

03-1-2006 - James returns to the US after 9 wonderful months visiting together

03-15-2006 - Realise we can't live without each other - James visits Australia again

03-24-2006 - I-129f express courier to TSC

03-29-2006 - I-129f package arrives in US, picked up by TSC 5:33am

04-05-2006 - Receipt Notice for NOA1

04-06-2006 - Money order cashed :)

04-11-2006 - Received NOA1 in mail!

07-04-2006 - Received notification that RFE sent on June 23 - Still waiting to actually receive in post.

We sent a letter to CSC to cancel our application. Can't afford repeated air flight tickets to see each other and there's no way we can be apart. Married and staying in Australia :)

wow your only about 5 hours from toledo ...i didnt realise u were in kentucky mate...way cool... matt is in akron ohio ...way cool...glad all turned out well..knew it would...patience is such a virtue on this journey of ours...

i received my police check friday took longer than i expected...

now were battling the airline prices...damm i hope we can pull it off that robbie can come to oz to get me..he wont let me dib into my investments to help out either so will wait and see how we go..fingers crossed..

purplesneakers ... congrats on the interview date....hope all goes well for you mate..

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

No fair! I would have guessed it if I had been online this weekend.

Ok lots of good stuff to report for this Aussie/American Duo!!!!

1. We moved into our new condo - We've never owned anything this big before...so exciting...Last night as we were eating dinner, I was like, "Did you ever truly imagine we'd have our own place and actually be TOGETHER?" We never thought we'd be able to do this...it's amazing. The condo is PERFECT. as our wedding gift, my aunt and my mom decorated and furnished the WHOLE PLACe. It's awesome. The bad part is that we don't have cable yet and WONT until May 2nd. Boo. AND since we are getting internet through cable...that also means no internet at home. On the bright side we are enjoying no TV and internet...it's not so bad :)

2. yesterday Stewart got a job!!! He was offered a job as a pharmacy technician at CVS. It's not the one he wanted but today he's going to call in to the one he DOES want and say, "Hey, i have a job offer...what's the deal." THe good thing is, either way, he has a job :) :) he's soooo happy. I think he was feeling kinda worthless in a way...which is silly I think, but I guess I can see where he's coming from.

Jodie - you'll get something soon :) I'll keep the MOJO coming!!

Not long now Cathy!!!!! I'm so stoked for you guys.

I have my interview date Yeahh.gif 8th June. Little surprised though that my packet 4 got delivered to Dan in the US as I thought it would come to me the applicant here in Sydney :unsure: Is that right that happened? I dont really care....I have it and thats what counts....am just curious.

This journey is almost over.......I have the biggest grin on my face and been in tears of joy. Had to have some champagne so Im a bit tipsy

Now all ya gotta do is worry about the packing, moving the furniture and stuff and goodbyes,...believe me thats the hardest part..

The timeline... (Frankfurt) for the kids visas

10/22/2007 Filed I-130 x 2 in person + paid 710 USD (355 each )

10/22/2007 Filed DS-230 part 1 x 2

10/22/2007 Received the document checklist and FRN (case) numbers

12/18/2007 I-130 petition approved, but I didn't know. I was away at the time, didn't get confirmation letters til I got back from the states.

12/20/2007 Notice of Approval arrives in tha mail. According to the date received stamp on back of envelope at my post box.

Will now wait til hubby is back from Iraq to fax in checklist readiness, even though, I have been ready since day of lodging I-130's. all except medical.

02/18/2008 Faxed the "checklist" back to the consulate.

02/25/2008 Medicals completed.

02/25/2008 Appt letters in mail for appt on March 7th. Cant go due to prior military commitments. Emailed consulate and received an amended appt date of March 12th 2008.

03/12/2008 Visa interview - APPROVED x 2

03/27/2008 Visa's finally generated. I emailed the consulate. they apologised for the delay. They forgot to issue the visas after approval.

03/31/2008 Received visas

04/26/2008 Flying out of Frankfurt to next duty station on orders.
