Do you mean the AOS? That was the I-134 I thought. Either way there is not a fee that I can find on either form.

I-864 is $0.00 as per the list and Kath...

affidavit of support.....

i need to save that form for my honey..

all these forms..... wow...

Yeah, thanks guys you're all wonderful but this is for the CR-1/IR-1 and they send this out along with the DS 3032 form.

I've just seen on another website cos I can't find it here but it's saying $70 but I'm also having to guess that this is in US$ as it is the petitioner (USC) that pays it.

I think maybe because I am doing the K3 that I have to do the I-134 and not the I-864, but they seem to be similar forms so I am getting them both ready and when the information comes, I am going to just send the one that they ask for. Omg I am feeling such relief to be able to move on. My life, Loke is going to get more immunization shots tomorrow :(

We do not want to miss a beat. I miss him so much *sigh*

Either way both of these forms are showing up on USCIS as $0.00 and it is not on the rate increase form, but if you are worried about it, then I would prepare to save the money in case and when you get the information, then follow it to a tee and if it asks for money then you will at least have the funds saved and ready to go. That's my advice, but I still feel like a newbie so you may want to see what others say.

It is so horrible not knowing isn't Rings..that's the worst thing to endure about this journey. So glad you know now and are on your way..won't be long now hon. We are the same way; trying to be one step ahead and organised as much as possible as this will mean less time that we will be separated again for..not looking forward to that but you try to stay strong by keeping busy.

Anyhoo...I found it finally, I'm such a dill but that's what happens when you try to work and do this at the same time; trying not to get caught cos noone (bosses) know I'm leaving yet...so it's hush hush amongst my coworker friends. Though they know I've married an American and I'm sure I've been caught on here I'd be surprised if they haven't secretly put two and two together...lol.

Thanks again guys....:)

Hi all,

I just received my passport and brown envelope (it's really yellow!) and noticed my visa in the passport states CR1. At the time of my interview we had been married 2 years and the Consular Officer said I would be given an IR1.

Now, I understand that when I enter the US I have to point out we have in fact been married for 2 years to get the 10 year stamp in my passport. Has anyone out there been successful in doing this??

I also understand if we aren't successful in solving this problem at the POE we can complete an I-90. We would like to avoid any more paperwork!!

Thanks!

Also it looks like all you other Aussies are coming along nicely. Don't stress, you'll have your visa before you know it!!

One more thing, we used a Platinum Express satchel instead of the standard gold one (costs $5 more) because you are supposed to be able to track it online or on the phone. It was never in the system!!! We stressed all of yesterday and this morning so we drove to the consulate here in MEL and got them to call SYD and ask where it was. Luckily, they had mailed it yesterday and we received it this afternoon. So, the Platinum is good if you want someone to sign for it and it is guaranteed next day delivery. Otherwise, just buy the gold express satchel.

:)

11-05-06 Sent I-130 to California

06-01-07 INTERVIEW

06-04-07 Received VISA in the mail. Silly Consulate issued me CR-1 instead of IR-1, no time to change it in Australia, will try to change it once in California.

06-10-07 POE SFO

06-21-07 Receive SSN#

07-12-07 Receive Green Card in the mail STILL HAD CR1 INSTEAD OF IR1

12-10-07 Finally sent I-90 asking for a new green card with correct info.

06-17-08 INFOPASS - Was told USCIS sent new green card to old address back in Jan. Will resend it but may not be able to correct error as it was made by Consulate not USCIS.

I just booked with Dr Charles Okraglik at Monash for 9 am on the 16th July.

Just an FYI for anyone else, he is away from June 28 until July 13. Mid-July looks reasonable for us as it allows time for the approved petition to be forwarded to Sydney and for the forms I will need for the appointment to get out to me. I'm not sure about Dr Poppenbeck, but I know someone else posted in April that he was booked until the end of May so it's probably fair to assume he's reasonably busy at this time too.

Hi there,

It's good you have some time b/w your medical and future interview!! I did my medical through Dr Okraglik a few weeks ago now. He and his staff took their time in preparing the report and sending it to me. I paid them $5 to send it express mail at my appoinmet. They finally sent it to me a 3 days before my interview after a few phone calls!!!!

The Doctor was very robotic, wasn't really interested in you as a patient. I had my physical done in less than 20mins, most of the time was just verbally confirming my medical history as per the forms. I had my blood work taken there and then I had to drive to a hospital near by to have x-rays done. If I remember correctly, you pay $100 when you make the appoinment and then $199 or $299 in cash to the Doctor before he commences the physical. This covers everything. Also, make sure you bring with your vaccination records from the day you were born. I didn't think I would need them and ended up driving back the next day!

If you are driving there, you can park your car in the multi level car park. It won't cost more than few $$ for the time you are there. There is hardly any off street parking because it is a uni campus. If you can't find the building go into the library and ask there. The medical clininc is hidden around the corner. I walked straight passed it the first time!

goodluck!

Thanks heaps for that, it's nice to have a bit of a heads up on what to expect. I'm getting my doctor to go through all the likely vaccinations with me beforehand and having jabs for anything it looks like I might need. I asked my mum about birth vaccination records a little while ago and she's struggling to find them but I will ask again, maybe I can go back to the original doctors to get new copies of the records.

Good luck to all of you in wherever you're up to, and I hope you hit some "good form" when it comes to any paperwork you need to do (YAY first bad pun on this site...)

Hey Loke,

I tried to track down my complete vaccination history but had little success.

I found that it is MUCH MUCH easier to get your family doctor to take blood and test for your immunity levels for all the vaccinations required of an adult. It was quick (took about a week for results to come back) and all I had to do was get my Dr to jab me with anything that was missing and I took the original record of my immunity along with a record of my recent jabs and that was it. Easy. I'd recommend that process to anyone with a sketchy vaccination history (with people having multiple doctors, school vaccinations etc. etc. its hard to get a record.)
