I have checked and I am over the poverty line by a good haul. I was just concerned mainly because most people who submitted petitions before or after us have already been approved and I am wondering what the hold up could be. We have not gotten an RFE or anything and we were touched on the 17th, but people who have submitted petitions after ours are seeing approvals and it has us down. If they are done in order, then I can only worry something may be wrong or something. I tried to call and all they can tell me is that it is processing. I worked real hard on our petitions and made them all beautiful in binders with tabs and everything to make it really easy. I followed every checklist I could find to make sure I didn't miss anything. You think maybe I made it look too nice and therefore it looks suspecious? lol that would be my luck...

Hey Kath, glad your interview went well. Good luck for the second one...can't believe it's such a long interview process. How was your weekend away with yr hubster? Hope you had a good time.

Tritessa...good luck for your interview, I think it was today, wasn't it. Please let us know how you went. :D

Hammy, thought you would like to know that Jake caught 7 trout yesterday up at 11 mile canyon...5 brown, 2 rainbow. I didn't go this time so I missed out :( ...I decided to beach myself on the couch with a packet of Cheese-its and the remote instead. I love cable! We have a new kitten so I wanted to stay home until he has settled in with our other older cat.

Well I am hoping for some movement on the job front this week. I had another interview this time at TekSystems on Thursday (not exciting really just another IT recruitment firm) something has to happen soon...jeeze!

On a brighter note I have met up with another Aussie VJ'er here in Colorado Springs so I am very happy. Nice to have some company. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!!!!

Hey Pris, so when are we meeting up for Chili's???

Hey Rings, you know when you go to the store and you sometimes find yourself in the slow line? Where everyone in front has some kind of problem with their credit card, or an item won't scan or something like that? Well, you may have found yourself in the slow line :(

Try not to worry, your NOA2 will come ANY day now. It's bound to! Maybe the case/s right ahead of yours are driving the officer crazy with missing items and things. Which sucks. But how happy will he/she see when they see yours, with everything labelled and all in the right place. :D

Soooo soon, you just have to wait a little tiny bit longer!:thumbs:

Thanks guys. Your words are appreciated. I am trying to think of it that way, but I am such a worrier and then Loke had to go home so I am all emotional lol. He is going tomorrow to get the test results for his blood screen to tell him what vaccinations he still needs, I finished the majority of our Affidavitt of support and the duplicate copies and stuff on my end here for his interview and he is also doing his police clearance and fingerprinting stuff in the morning. All in all, this minor stuff has made me feel that at least we are doing something productive and then I went out and mowed the lawn instead of moping lol... I am such a nerd sometimes.

I really thank you all for all your support for us *hugs*

Just brings back way tooooo many nightmares from my childhood nuff said :wacko:

Well good luck on your interviews all week Kath as well be thinking off you

I still am without transport or licence that's one of the reasons I applied at Home Depot.

It's only about a klick away from here and I can Walk it  in 15 - 20 mins lol.

And When I start working there I will be socking enuff away each week,

not including rent/food/ utilities so I will be working my Butt off.

As I will work 7 days a week to get ahead here.

It is expensive here but like anywhere you live you have to,

make sacrifices for the common goal of a Successful Marraige.

I want to be able to take my Beautiful Overworked Wife out once in awhile,

To a nice Restaurant or maybe a Romantic Weekend away,

Just to say "Hey let's just spoil ourselfs for a change!!

Or something else that will make US both Happy.

I want to be able to say.. Hey Wifee let's go for a nice Drive..

And for a change you relax in the Passenger seat let me,

do the driving.. as the little things do matter..

There is nothing I wouldn't do for My Cheryl , My Beautiful Bride.

I Love Her and Respect her and She does the same for me.

I am greatful that I found such a Wonderful Understanding and a Very Patient Woman.

Here Endith The Sermon.. :innocent:

Cheers

No, you are right that is your NVC number. Well you are lucky to have gotten one so soon, good for you..!

This was my reply when I emailed:

Dear Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received this petition. We are in the process of entering the petition information into the computer system and assigning a case number. Upon completion of this process, the appropriate agent (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the further processing of this petition.

Heya Kath,

Thanks for that. You just don't want to unneccesarily prolong the process aye.

I'm good thanks. Have had to put off the doctor appointment till July now as I need the funds elsewhere. I've found a place to live when I move out end of June (when J leaves) so I can finally relax about that. It's a little pricey for me but it's a good clean backpacker hotel where I get my own room and it's not the dodgy backpacker place I was previously resorting to. The location is perfect (heart of St Kilda); I can walk to work and the gym which is nice so I have the car for sale now which should give it plenty of time to sell...*fingers crossed*. Garage sale is in a couple of weeks to sell off everything in the apartment before shutdown.

We were going to go away for the Queen's birthday long weekend coming up but have decided to clean the apartment and have that good to go for the garage sale and so the last weekend we can tie up lose ends and relax with his going away party.

That's the plan and just enjoying every day with each other till we must part for a while.

Cheers,

Pris.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!

I GOT IT .. I GOT IT .. I GOT IT!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

If ya dont know what i got well today i went in for my second interview with K-mart with the manager of the store.. nice bloke too...went through the procedures and what the company offers then he said ok well i will talk to faith and schedule you to come in to fill out some forms and we will get you started...im just rapt that i have a job where i can start to save for my kids to come over for a holiday

they start you off on the registers for a month then they will find a position within the company to start off in...i never even asked how much an hour i would be getting...im just happy to get out of the house..then i got home and there is a message for a job in an office...

on thinking back at all this me taking so long to get a job ..robbie said its probably the summer season that the company is starting to look at hiring so if that is so..and if i had it all over to do again i would immigrate around october send in my AOS in the same year and get my greencard just before summer...

ohh by the way for those that are doing the AOS stuff get it all in before the 30th of July 2007 fees are increasing dramatically which im spewing about too cos down the track for naturalization its going to be more expensive for us..if you compare the fees to now and what it is going up to ..damm its a friggen hike and just might put a big financial strain on alot of people.. the link is below...

30th july 2007 fees going up

so if your immigrating over here start saving up so you have the fees set aside guys and gals it might make it easier on you ... and they think that by hiking up the fees the service at USCIS is going to be better ...i cant see it myself...

talk to all soon

happy happy joy joy
