Finally got a reply :P

My mum suggested I right it from her POV so it wouldn't look like I was some paranoid kid who isn't ready for 'the big smoke' that is USA :P

In it, they say that basically they do have the AOS information (If they have the Joint Sponsorship information, then surely they'll have HIS AOS info)

However, my nagging did pay off in the end :P As far as I know, he never sent in a letter, with a letterhead, from his current employment with the original AOS, just payslips. I nagged him about it and he got one to send to me to take with the interview. NOW, they tell me if I do bring one in, they'll take it into account and they may in fact forget the JS altogether.

Just dropping by to say Hi,...as we all know, my journey is for the best part complete, except Naturalization. So, I am just sitting here, waiting for my hubby to come home from Iraq. He should of been home in just over a week, as he left 2 November last year, but with the extension, it's now the end of January.*sigh*

But,..

I did file the i-130's for my daughters yesterday in Frankfurt. So, now the wait begins again. Something to keep me occupied for a while, along with slowly getting rid of junk, and excess ####### around the home that builds up. Gotta start decluttering,..as, as soon as he gets home, we should be PCSing stateside, Yes, another move across the seas, and finally, I get to spend some time stateside. Its funny really,..I have gone through k1, aos, and i-751, and in all that time, I have only really been in the US for 3 months after we married , and before we moved to Germany.

I know that I should be happy , that in a few short months hubby will be home from Iraq, but these, as if the past 11 months hasnt been enough stress!! The next few months are also going to be filled with stress. getting the girls visas, Packing up, moving, searching out schools for the kids, trying to get re-acquainted with my hubby AGAIN, finally trying to find work, and also readjusting again to another country,..(the one I was supposed to get acquainted with originally,...lmao).

I just did a quick calculation,.

Since the first time hubby and I met in real life May 2002, I worked out the amount of time we have spent together. I calculated our actual time together as a couple,.

May 2002 to Oct 2007, so far ( i didnt calculate, the previous 11 months we talked before we actually met). In that time, minus, his two deployments to Iraq, visa waiting time, his away on school time, his training time pre deployment, and 3 months when I had to go home to look after my kids,..we have had a total time together of 17 months. and thats out of a total of 65 months, or 5 years and 5 months....BIG SIGH....

Anyways, this wasnt meant to be a whinge fest, I was really trying to put things more in perspective for myself,..I knew what it would be like when we got married. I just think, since I turned the big 40 last week, Ive been on a downer.

peace everybody.

The timeline... (Frankfurt) for the kids visas

10/22/2007 Filed I-130 x 2 in person + paid 710 USD (355 each )

10/22/2007 Filed DS-230 part 1 x 2

10/22/2007 Received the document checklist and FRN (case) numbers

12/18/2007 I-130 petition approved, but I didn't know. I was away at the time, didn't get confirmation letters til I got back from the states.

12/20/2007 Notice of Approval arrives in tha mail. According to the date received stamp on back of envelope at my post box.

Will now wait til hubby is back from Iraq to fax in checklist readiness, even though, I have been ready since day of lodging I-130's. all except medical.

02/18/2008 Faxed the "checklist" back to the consulate.

02/25/2008 Medicals completed.

02/25/2008 Appt letters in mail for appt on March 7th. Cant go due to prior military commitments. Emailed consulate and received an amended appt date of March 12th 2008.

03/12/2008 Visa interview - APPROVED x 2

03/27/2008 Visa's finally generated. I emailed the consulate. they apologised for the delay. They forgot to issue the visas after approval.

03/31/2008 Received visas

04/26/2008 Flying out of Frankfurt to next duty station on orders.

It sound like most of you are doing well. Have a safe trip Sharyna!

I am glad that you finally made it home Tony!

Kath *hugs* I hope that you are doing okay. I am glad to see that America has not run you off yet.

Kelli, good luck on the EAD... the wait for that really sucks.

Jodee! I know that times are rough and hard, but you have come so far. January seems ages away, but at least you do not have to redo the last 11 months. I wish for speed in your next I-130 *hugs*

Loke and I bought a car this weekend for him to drive. It is a used car, but hopefully it will last a little while. We are still waiting on the EAD even though it has been approved. They said they had mailed it on October 11th... I will likely be calling them soon. Loke is getting antsy for freedom. I am glad that he has a way to escaped the house now.

I hope everyone else is doing good. You are all in our thoughts *hugs*

Thanks everyone! Good luck with EADs, traveling, reuniting, car driving, new work, etc! Keep the good news flowing folks!

Kelli, your puppy is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Too cute. We will get a puppy one day. I love those puppy eyes.

Hang in there Jodi! I am happy you have been able to cope given the unfair balance of together-time! Once things have stabilized, I know that you will have an even stronger bond than other couples! It just shows your dedication and love to one another!

Which airline did you decide to go with Sharyna? Congrats! I know that feeling! Excitement is a word that BARELY covers that feeling.

Kath! Thanks again! It's one of those things that I am excited and nervous at the same time! LOL! It is nice to know we are just west of Sydney so we can go back the following Monday to pick it up if we choose not to have it mailed.

I think I will try to visit Melbourne this time around! My groomsman flew in early to do some traveling before the wedding and he took these shots when visiting Melbourne. These recent shots he posted convinced me that I HAVE TO VISIT this gorgeous city!
