Thanks everyone, and grats Tonyr7 :D

Vylex:

I've heard nothing so far :\ I'm just going to take it in with me. I was worried that they wouldn't give me a date till they got it, as they would be expecting it. Don't know if they even got the e-mail. I've received no confirmation unlike NVC that they even have it.

I'm unsure about the interview date letter too, as I only sent the readiness form on Friday. It takes about 4 days to get to Sydney from here. *shrugs* Maybe they got the e-mail and decided to send it out, seeing as how far away the interview date is.

I don't know what goes through these people's heads :P hehe

I am pretty sure they got the email but probably forgot to respond or not sure themselves LOL. How long ago did you send it? They are usually pretty good and reply back within 2 to 3 days.

Sharyna, did you take the police cert with you too? You're from NSW right?

As far as the interview letter, it will come in the mail with specific directions. My wife just got the official Dec interview letter the other day. She will read it and tell me what it says today as far as details. We got that date via email and then she got the official date a week after. I also suspect that they did that because the date is so far out. She didn't even send out the DS-2001 form yet LOL.

Thanks for the confirmation Sharyna!

Niph,

The consulate emailed me back the same day! Maybe they are speeding up again with APEC behind them!

Anyway, they told me to have my wife bring it in with a photocopy just as Sharyna pointed out. The interview letter you will eventually receive mentions that. I think you are good to go. I will have Vy open the Police Certificate envelope now and confirm it was the complete check LOL.

Good luck!

Hi folks,

I hope everyone is doing well!

Vy has completed her medical and is just waiting for the results to see if she needs more vaccinations. Other than that, we're ready and waiting for the interview!

Time is so fast and slow at the same time!

Anyway, I figured I would change the topic a bit from the standard immigration talk. I was fortunate to spend one amazing month in Syndey with the wifey as we held our Church wedding. Now I need to keep track of two anniversary dates! YIKES! LOL. It was an amazing time because family and friends from both sides flew to Australia to attend our wedding. Everything turned out better than we had hoped! As stressful as wedding planning can be (especially between two continents), it was well worth it. The happy memories will always be there.

We got married at St. Patrick's in Sydney and had the reception in Sydney harbour floating around in the Blue Room. Stress was on both immigration and wedding planning LOL as we had switched to these folks one month BEFORE the wedding! Our last venue (also glass ship ballroom) had a delay in getting the ship to sea and their backup ship was too small for our wedding size. Anyway, it was a blessing in disguise as the folks running this venue were THE BEST! The food, the atmosphere and the professionalism were second to none.

vylex7.JPG

vylex9.JPG

We floated around the harbour to wonderful views like this all evening. It was a bit chilly but the skies were clear. Why did I convince the wife to move to the US again? ;)

vylex10.JPG

vylex3.JPG

I visited the boat the day before to do some dry runs of my videos and deliver some more goodies for the wifey.

After everything was in place...

Happiness...

vylex1.JPG

We went to Airlie Beach for our honeymoon and convinced her to dive at The GB Reef in celebration of getting the Case Complete message the day before.

vylex4.JPG

Ahhhhh, I can't wait to be reunited again.

Good luck to all you folks that are still waiting like us. It will be a sweet reunion. (F)

Hello everyone,

Has been a while since I have posted. Things are going fine. It is hot as hell here now. When Kevin first came it rained it seemed like for 2 months. I think we are at 40 inches of rain so far for the year. According to my father-in-law they would love to have some of the rain that we have had.

Work is going good and every day I learn more about my husband and I love him anymore. He is the sweetest man, I feel like I don't do enough for him. He is so ready to start working and get out of this house. We got another baby kitten, she is something else not afraid of anything. I may post some pictures of her.

Hope all is well for everyone.

Today is Champagne Saturday for me and the hubby. Nothing like having champagne for no real reason. ;)(F):)

OMG Wonderful and beautiful photos. That looks like such a grand affair!

Hello guys!

Sorry I have not been around like I used too, but I was sick and Loke was taking care of me, but I am back and around now. We are still waiting for the EAD and Loke has been driving and stuff...which freaks me out, but I just love getting him into the grocery store. He loves to pick out interesting foods to try hahaha.

We are having a great time being together and life has been so much better since he got home. We are always thinking of those of you who are not together and who are waiting still. We will never forget the time we had to wait and the pain that we endured. I know that it's hard, but it will be better and then you will be in here posting a silly post like I am now.

We miss you guys and I did a little follow up, but I have been gone too long to follow everyone as close as I would have liked. I hope all of your journies are going well.

Congrats Tonyr... I think I noticed that your process is improving and I remember your circumstances.

Hope you are doing well Kath and I have been following you Pris *hugs*

*hugs to all*

Hi all - LONG time since I've been around, but it looks like everything and everyone is going well. If there are any Aussies around or near Ft. Lauderdale, Stewart and I are driving down for a Grand Final watching party. There's some bar that's going to show the whole thing. Stewart's a Cats fan, so he's over the moon!!!

Anyone else??

:) Caroline

Thanks everyone! It was one of the happiest moments of our lives! (hee hee getting the visa journey completed will be another one!).

Jezz (and everyone else hehe), I highly recommend getting your loving partner underwater. That was definitely one of those "must do in life" things and a lot easier than I had expected. The fact it was at the mecca of diving made it even sweeter. The dive instructor even told us the oldest person they had diving was 80 years old!

Thanks again Pris! I see you're right behind us with your case! I suspect you'll receive the case complete message a few weeks after the NVC receives your final paperwork. These little stages and updates really help pass the time!

What's the countdown Sharyna? I can imagine that feeling to be reunited for good!

Thanks Rings! I hope you feel better though! It's nice to know you have that loving partner when you're not feeling well to take care of you. I can't wait to get Vy to drive here. I know it will be a bit of crazy experience but I know she wants to get to Marshall's and TJ Maxx without waiting for me to come home first hehe.

Moonie, I think I'll have Champagne day every week haha. Nothing like celebrating for no other reason!

Caroline, how many cats do you have? My coworker that sits next to me has 12 between him and his fiance. The last few years, I have met more cat lovers than dog lovers hehe.

Party hard when you get back to your wife Tony.

Hope you're doing well at your new job Kath.

I also hope everyone else is doing well in their journeys...pre and post!

*TOAST* to you all. :)
