I will give an early warning here to stop. This type of derailing of topics and pushing the TOS really benefits no one. If I were muslim I know I would be hesitant to talk on the forums openly when things like this are readily thrown around. I am not saying we are all perfect and can always talk/write that way, just that you should not say things to deliberately hurt or isolate people or groups. We are a diverse group of people and all view points should be allowed even if you do not agree. Disagreement is ok; being rude and attacking folks is not.

It's pure ignorance on the side of anyone in the "muslim community" to not think this is a slap in the face to those who died 2 blocks away. ESPECIALLY the groundbreaking they want on 9/11/11. You try and tell me otherwise based off that.

You're right by the way though, about those who haven't done jack to commemorate as you said. I mean it takes the city council 5 minutes to approve this memorial and they still can't get together for a proper memorial? I mean let's get serious here.

Of course, I'm sure that mosque and community center will be very accepting of homosexuals and all women who choose to live the way they want to. I'm sure it will be so diverse and actually let men and women pray side-by-side. I mean after all, this is about tolerance isn't it? We'll see how tolerant and non-hyprocrites they are.
