Here's a tabulation of what we're looking at

Hello Fellow Ukrianian and Russian couples,

Click the link below in signature to view a tabulation of how many of us are left waiting. This is a tab of anyone with a NOA1 later than March 6, and earlier than June 1. So its a picture of all the March, April and May people. I threw out all the Vermont filers (sorry, no offence),so that the percentages wouldn't be skewed. Draw your own conclusions, but it looks like we are not doing as well as I thought we were. I'll keep posting occasionally as I update the results.

That is funny, I tell my love the same thing... but... I we will at least have to part once more time. I am going to visit her in 2 weeks and then I will have to leave her behind again. OMG, the parting on the airport is always so painful!

But, I think I could have a wonderful xmas present from USCIS this year :-)

It was about time to call my local congressman today and ask them to prod the CSC for us on this if they can. I haven't wrapped my arms around my Elena since last November. We saved up our money to have a good attorney handle our filing for us and forfeited a vacation together in order to pay for that, and in the process ended up getting caught in the middle of all of the IMBRA mess. It's very disturbing to me to realize the hypocricy of the situation... here we live in a country supposedly founded on family values, but the law requires us to miss some of the most exciting times of our relationship and instead we have to sit on our hands. If there's a backlog, fine, but for a process that takes all but about 15 minutes of one person's time and maybe 2-3 minutes each of a few other people's time, you'd think that they could throw some more resources at getting the job done. What's the difference if our tax dollars pay for our application to get processed today or for it to get processed 4 months from now... it still has to get paid for at some time. Why not today?

Just to add to my rant... for anyone considering that perhaps it's because it costs more to hire temporary workers than to hire full time employees, etc...

Before the IMBRA RFE's went out, it was stated in various news sources that this would result in approximately a combined 10,000 RFE's being sent out from all applicable service centers (also stating that they would be sent out to all pending applicants since March 5th or thereabouts).

10,000 applications x $170 collected for each = $1.7 mil in fees collected

10,000 applications x 15 minutes average time spent by service center staff to review an application = 2500 man hours. (That's $340 per man-hour if you cut the fee in half!)

A team of 10 people could process 10,000 applications in 6 1/4 weeks... which is much less time than the window of time that these 10,000 applications accumulated. Even if the USCIS had no staff available to work on I-129F's whatsoever, they couldn't bring in 10 people (between all applicable service centers) for a few weeks to pick up the slack? I think all 10,000 applicants should be speaking with their congressmen, even if it isn't to check status of their case. In a country where it's possible to pay a higher fee to get a passport in 48 hours (or even next day if the circumstances are right), it is evident that the knowledge of how to manage these kinds of resources exists.
