Hi, when filling out the DS 156K form is asks to send in evidence of financial support...I understand that this pretty much means the I 134 form. My question is, can I send in a copy of it from my fiancee? And when we have the interview bring in the original? and with the Ds 156K just state that original documents will be brought in person to interview and that copied documents have not been altered? I ask because im goign to send in copies of the other stuff they ask for...employment letter, birth cert., police check....

God bless and good luck! Hoping everyone can find peace in their anxiety!

Yes you can do that. They will be pleased to see that someone actually has all their documents before requesting an appointment.

For the I-134 you MUST bring in the version with the USCs original signature. Otherwise you will get a 221(g). If there is a joint sponsor make sure you have the original signature of their I-134 also and their birth certificate copy or green card copy.

Good luck.

So does that mean I messed up myself by not sending in the documents with the DS-156K?? For some reason I was under the assumption that they were to be brought to the interview...maybe because of things I've read on vj?...or maybe I got things confused. Now that I look at the instructions for the DS-156K I'm questioning whether I've screwed up badly. I submitted all the forms to Montreal last week. What's going to happen now? Will this slow things down because they'll request those documents before proceeding, or will they just ask for them at the interview?
