Time to File I-751 - What evidence need to be notarized?

Good morning!

It's that time for me and I'm filling in the paperwork to remove conditions on my 2 year GC...so my question is what needs to be notarized? Also, what evidence are absolutely necessary?

I think I read that the affidavit from friends is not absolutely necessary, is that right? We only know one couple who has known us since we got married, so we'd only have one letter from them.

Bills, insurance documents, etc.: do those need to be notarized?

Thanks for any help! I'm in between nursing a newborn and chasing around a 19 month old so I apologize in advance if I'm asking questions that have been answered millions of times.

We got nothing notarized, and I believe its only affidavits that you'd do it for, if you decide to include them.

good luck with your two little ones :)

What is required:

1. Application (signed)

2. Check (recommended personal check to keep for records when cashed)

3. Copy of front and back of GC

Anything that indicates financial co-ownership is normally key evidence. All evidence is best if it shows joint ownership with the same address:

1. IRS taxes (most important)

2. utilities (cellphone, cable, electric, water, etc...)

3. loans (home, car, etc...)

4. insurance (health, life, car, home, etc...)

5. beneficiaries (401k, life, etc..)

6. credit cards (statements, photocopies of cards)

7. bank statements (savings, checking, CDs, etc...)

8. affidavits (not required to be notarized)

Then, you can also submit some additional evidence of:

1. Pictures showing both of you.

2. Travel plans and itineraries

3. children birth certificates (very important)

What you shouldn't and don't need to submit:

1. Copies of your passport

2. Copy of marriage certificate

Thank you two a whole bunch!

Especially v333k, I printed your list off and used that as guideline.

Is a cover letter necessary? I'm inclined not to do one. Also, I didn't get sworn affidavits, I'm inclined not to do one if it's not absolute must.

Please advise.

I'll be joining the September filers if I get this sent out soon!

Thanks!
